In the last post I quoted from 2 Cor 11: 3 in which Paul said:
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
We also saw that the devil tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden with a deception that complicated the truth. This was a feel good doctrine which mixed the truth with a lie. False apostles deceive people away from the truth in much the same way, teaching doctrines that sound good and are full of the wisdom of man.
Paul warned the believers about false apostles because they preach another Jesus, another spirit and another gospel (2 Cor 11: 4). In fact, Paul compared the seductions of false prophets in the early church to witchcraft (Gal 3: 1). They were very active in teaching the doctrine of salvation by works to the Gentile believers and had succeeded in luring them away from the truth (Gal 2: 4).
False apostles preach a false gospel/doctrine of devils
1 Tim 4: 1 teaches us that “… the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”.
Satan preached a devilish doctrine in the Garden of Eden.In fact, Jesus said that he is a liar and the father of lies (JN 8: 44). The devil and his demons are so skillful at lying that they transform themselves into angels of light, appearing to men and women and giving them another gospel, another spirit and another Jesus that is not taught in the word of God (2 Cor 11: 14). False apostles follow suit, transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. However, their end shall be according to their works (2 Cor 11: 13-15).
BIBLICAL EXAMPLES
I will speak about them in more detail, but here are two:
-
Elymas – Acts 13: 6-12. His deception was exposed by the Prophet of God and his end was that he became blind for a season under the power of God.
-
Simon – Acts 8: 9, 10. He pretended to be a great man of God by using the occult as his power source. He could not transfer the anointing of the Holy Spirit to the believers.
Next time – False apostles preach their gospel for money.

I agree many apostles have “bewitched” God’ children today many are reporting church leaders at an alarming rate, they are reporting men and women in the pulpit threating and lying saying something bad will happen if you don’t tithed, and if you want a personal relationship with God, give money to the apostle or the leader of the church.lets be clear this is a lie, to those that don’t know a tithe was only fruit,Veg, live stock, herd, Lev.27:30-32,2 chron.31:5-6, corn, wine, oil, honey, oxen, sheep, not money also Jesus never tithed nowhere is it written nor did His disciples.

I do not agree that one should not tithe, but these are John’s comments

Remember that Abraham tithed before the law of Moses came into existence. Tithing is a principle which means that we pay tithes to God as thanks in advance for protection from attacks from the pits of hell.
Jacob the son of Isaac also tithed (Gen 28:22), indicating that this was common practice in his household.

Dear Gerda
Thanks so much for sharing your concerns. Yes, the Holy Spirit does lead us, but angels of the Lord were created as His ministers (heavenly apostles) in order to minister to the heirs of salvation (Ps 104: 4; Heb 1: 13, 14). This can be found in numerous scriptural examples in both Old and New Testament such as Hagar (Gen 21: 17); Samson’s parents (Judges 13: 9); Mary and Joseph to name a few.
Angels of the Lord will always point us to the worship of the true and Living God and not themselves or another God. This was demonstrated clearly in the experience of Samson’s parents.
Unfortunately, few ministers of the gospel talk about the ministry of angels and this can sometimes aalarm people. The psychics do speak about angels a lot, but remember that demons are also angels, but bad ones who do not serve the true and living God.
I encounter angels frequently and have written about them on http://www.thelordsangels.wordpress.com. This may help to answer further questions that you may have. Please keep in touch.
Sincerely
Mercedes
