As I meditated one night, the Lord drew scriptures to my attention that confirm Genesis 18. Some particular hebrew words are used in Genesis to indicate that God did indeed appear live and direct to Abraham, just as He appeared to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.

Strongs indicates that RA’AH is the Hebrew word for “appeared” in several scriptures. It means that God appeared, presented Himself, was seen, was visible to Abraham. Here are the scriptures:

And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him (Gen 12: 7)

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I [am] the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect (Gen 17: 1)

And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day (Gen 18: 1).

Genesis 17: 22 says that God “left off talking with him, and … went up from Abraham”.  Alah, the Hebrew word for  “went up”, means that God ascended or departed from Abraham.

Do you want this kind of relationship with God? Blessings and have a great day!
