The God family reveal an extensive array of strategies in scriptures by which they destroy demons:

1. God put satan and his demons under His authority:

God cursed satan in the Garden of Eden, putting him to crawl, or putting him under feet, as Jesus said in Luke 10: 19. Some of us believe that the serpent that tempted Eve and Adam was an animal.  “Nachash”  is the Hebrew word used in  Genesis 3: 1 for serpent. This word could be interpreted as serpent or image of a serpent. However, a cross reference with the New Testament book of Revelation shows us that dragondrakōn or serpent is the word used for satan.

Satan is indeed crawling under God’s authority. God said to Prophet Isaiah in 45: 23:

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

2. God limits satan’s power.

He had to consult God before harassing Job. Even then, God had already made a way of escape for His servant  and only allowed satan to lose to His word or testimony about Job.

In the revelation given by the Prophet Micaiah, a lying spirit convinced King Ahab’s false prophets to tell him to go to war:

And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.

And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.

And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade [him], and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. (1 Kings 22: 20-23).

3. God has also put satan under the authority of the believer and His church.

This revelation gives us great reason to rejoice and triumph in battle. Here are a few scriptures:

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven (Lk 10: 19, 20)

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

And hath put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come (Eph 1: 18- 22).

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,

And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus (Eph 2: 4-6)

Biblical teaching on the believer’s  authority is phenomenal. The preceding scriptures are just a few on this rich grace given by God. I will write on this much later.
