There is another meaning of  #Prosperity in scriptures. It comes from the Greek word  euodoō and is found in the letter from Apostle John to a saint called Gaius:

I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper (euodoō) and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (euodoō) – 3 John 1: 2.

When used in the context of euodoō, prosperity means:

a. To “Be in #health” (hygiainō/G5198)

  • having no sickness, healed, safe and sound, sound doctrine, wholesome words/doctrine, sound in the faith.
  • Apostle John (3 Jn 1 & 2) was speaking about Gaius’ sound (health/hygiainō) faith – that others testified of the truth in him.

b.  To walk in truth

Apostle John said the following about Gaius’ prosperity – I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth – 3 Jn 1:4.

c.  To  demonstrate love

Apostle John said that Gaius prospered in charity (agapē) to the brethren and strangers – 3 John 1 – 6.

More coming on what does it mean to prosper in love?
