1. God called us to salvation because of His Favour or Grace

For the grace (charis/G5485) of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men  (Titus 2: 11).

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace (charis/G5485)  that should come unto you (1 Peter 1: 10).

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God

Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace (charis/G5485), which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began  (2 Timothy 1: 8 & 9).

2. We are justified by Favour or Grace

That being justified  by his grace  (charis/G5485), we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 3: 7).

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace   (charis/G5485)  of God should taste death for every man (Hebrews 2: 9).

3. Favour or Grace is an integral element of  God’s character

But the God of all grace  (charis/G5485), who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you (1 Peter 5: 10).
