Introduction to the Jubile

The Jubile is an important Jewish observance that was given by God. Today we will discuss:

  • The definition of the Jubile
  • Timing of the celebration
  • The meaning of the Blowing of the Trumpets at the commencement of the Jublie

The meaning of Jubile

The Hebrew word is yowbel (H3104) and its usage is clear. Jubile is associated with noise or the blowing of the trumpets or blowing of rams’ horns every 50th Year after the entry into Canaan. That blowing of the rams’ horns was first used in Exodus 19: 13 when Moses went up into Sinai to receive the Law.

The Jubile or blowing of the Trumpets is an announcement of Divine visitation with humans

God instituted the Blowing of Trumpets on the 15th day of June, 2668. This was the first documentation on the sound of heaven in the earth. This trumpet sounded to announce the visitation and fellowship of the King of Earth, Heaven’s Royalty with mere mortal man.

Two events took place after God blew the trumpet. First, Moses took the people forward to meet God. In other words, the Apostle led the nation into the Presence of God.  Secondly, as the sound of the trumpet escalated, Moses and God began to talk audibly with each other in the hearing of the nation. The Lord then came down on the mountain and invited Moses to come up higher.

The meaning is that the Year of Jubile is a time of meeting with God and revelation of God’s mind to His People and to nations.

In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai (Exodus 19: 1)

And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes

And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai

And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death

There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet H3104 soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount – Exodus 19: 10  – 13

And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled

And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount

And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly

And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice

And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up (Exodus 19: 16 – 20).

The cloud in which God visits

We need to pay attention to the thick  cloud  (`anan) in which God visited Israel.  The appearance of  the cloud meant that God was present with His people. What a blessing for any nation to see the visible manifestation of the Presence of God!

The Presence of God in the cloud meant that the Father was there to protect His people, to block their enemies, to reveal His splendor, to fellowship with His Apostle Moses and to give rest to His people. I pray that the Father would return His cloud to the earth:

“in the pillar of the cloud H6051 by day, nor the pillar of fire by night” to protect His people – Exodus 13: 22.

“the pillar of the cloud H6051 went from before their face, and stood behind them” as a barrier between the nation and their enemies – Exodus 14: 19.

“And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud H6051 and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night” – Exodus 14: 20.

as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy H6051 pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses – Exodus 33: 9.

And all the people saw the cloudy H6051 pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door – Exodus 33: 10.

And when the cloud H6051 was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys

But if the cloud H6051 were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up

For the cloud H6051 of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys – Exodus 40: 36 – 38.

The Jubile or blowing of the Trumpets is an advanced warning to the enemy that God and His Armies are about to conquer their territory

God revealed His spiritual warfare strategy for taking impenetrable territory like Jericho.  First Joshua and the army were instructed to  march around Jericho once for six days.  Six prophetically spoke of God’s work in the Creation. God was doing a new thing in the invisible realm and the nation of faith obeyed the word of God, for they would rest or achieve victory on Day 7.

In the invisible realm, or realm of the spirit, the Lord amplified the sound of their feet so that the demonic armies heard “a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host” (2 Kings 7: 6).

Archangel Michael told me that this was a scare tactic, which struck fear into the hearts of the people locked into the city. Day by day they watched the terrible Jews march around their city, a place where they formerly felt secure, wondering what Israel would do and when the attack would be launched.

The army was to be preceded by the ark of God, which represented the Tabernacle of Heaven in the earth. Ahead of the ark, there were seven other priests blowing seven trumpets of rams’ horns.  Drawing on the parallel at Mount Sinai, I see that the Priests escalated the volume day by day and lengthened the duration of each blast, so that the people of Jericho became exceedingly fearful and trembled.

The sound of the trumpet began to cause the foundations of Jericho and the impenetrable walls to quake. Archangel Michael told me that the shofar was given to the Jews for occasions such as these.

Israel, blow the Trumpet of God in Zion and let the enemy armies flee, for God has come to deliver.

On the seventh day, the army, ark and Priests marched around Jericho seven times. It was now time to rest from the six day creation work y  strategy at Jericho reveals that we need to blow the trumpets and shout His praises in anticipation of victory when we are faced with impenetrable or difficult situations.

And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days

And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: H3104 and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets

And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s H3104 horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.- Joshua 6: 3 – 6

Spiritual preparation for the Jubile

God reveals that there must be a spiritual preparation for the Jubile. We see this in the parallel between the sanctification that the Jews were told to undergo in the first Jubile and the Blowing of the Trumpets that follows the Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur.

We must have clean hands and pure hearts if we are to win any kind of warfare against the enemy. The Jubile is our victory over our enemies. Israel, trust in the Lord for the victory.

What is the Feast of Tabernacles?

The Feast of Tabernacles is a  Feast of the Lord. He commanded the Jews to celebrate it as follows:

  • in the seventh month
  • it was celebrated for 7 days
  • began on Day 15
  • Ended on Day 22
  • The Jews were to dwell in booths as a memorial of their deliverance from Egypt
  • Males were to appear before the Lord with an offering
  • At the end of every 7 year period, there was a release of debts DURING the Feast of Tabernacles

And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field (Exodus 23: 16)

And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year’s end (Exodus 34: 22)

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD (Leviticus 23: 34)

Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath (Leviticus 23: 39)

Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine (Deuteronomy 16: 13)

Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty (Deuteronomy 16: 16).

The  Feast of Tabernacles is for ALL nations and not just the Jews

The prophecies of scriptures show that God revealed His feasts to the earth through the Jewish nation. These feasts were celebrated by Adam and early ancestors of the human race, but were forgotten as nations rebelled against God and served satan.

God intended all of His feasts to be times of rest, restoration, forgiveness, peace and joy. All nations are required to celebrate them and will experience distress when they refuse. Drought is one outcome of failing to keep the  Feast of the Tabernacles:

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles H5521

And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain

And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles

This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles (Zechariah 14: 16 – 19).

2015 Calendar of the Feast of Tabernacles

This year two of my siblings and a sister in the faith decided to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles as people of faith in Christ. We believe that the Feast has prophetic meaning and that we are to look to Christ the Great High Priest.

Feast of Tabernacles Calendar

Glossary for easy understanding of the Feast of Tabernacles

Tishri – September/October

  • This is the 7th month on the religious calendar
  • and 1st month of the civil new year.
  • From my understanding of Scripture, Nisan or April should be the first month of the New Year, whether religious or civil. When Nisan is kept as the New Year, the Jews will be able to clearly see Messiah in all of the feasts.

The Jews of Bible times celebrated April as month 1

This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you (Exodus 12: 2)

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles H5521 for seven days unto the LORD (Leviticus 23: 24)

And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles H5521 (Deuteronomy 31: 10)

And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths H5521 in the feast of the seventh month (Nehemiah 8: 14)

Debt forgiveness or Release was celebrated during the Feast of Tabernacles
  • The Shemitah was a sabbatical year during which no agricultural work  was to be done. The nation focused on rest and spiritual renewal.
  • All outstanding debts between Jewish lenders and borrowers were to be remitted or released at the end of the Year during the Feast of Tabernacles.
  • It was a year of blessing, rest, restoration and jubilation.
  • Debt forgiveness or remittance was a foreshadow of the forgiveness of the sins of the nation on Day 10 and a foreshadow of Christ who forgives our sins.
  • Modern day Jews celebrate debt forgiveness at the end of the sixth month (August-September)
  • This was Elul 29th 2015 or September 13th 2015
  • The Year began September  25, 2014 and ran through Sept. 13, 2015.
  • The purpose of debt forgiveness is to model the forgiveness of God which we gain when we forgive others (Matthew 6: 12)
  • One ancient Jewish writing says that Adam sinned in Tishri, hence the reason for the Atonement at this time.

Rosh Hashanah

  • Jewish New Year (civil new year)
  • 1st day of the 7th month
  • September 14 & 15, 2015
  • Blowing of the Trumpets
  • A Convocation was held
  • According to chabad.org, Ten Days of Repentance or Shabbat Shuvah, are entered into between  Rosh Hashanah  (New Year) and ending on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement).
  • On September 14th, 2015, I met with two of my siblings and a sister in the faith to study the prophetic meaning of the Trumpets in the scriptures (I will add the notes later).

Yom Kippur – Day 10

  • Day of Atonement –
  • A  convocation was held in Moses’ era
  • It will be celebrated on Wednesday September 23rd, 2015
  • The Jewish High Priest went into the Holiest of Holies to make atonement for the sins of the nation
  • Modern Jews observe 10 days of Repentance from Tishri 1 to 10 (chabad.org)
  • Jesus is the Great High Priest:
    • Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus (Hebrews 3: 1)
    • Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession (Hebrews 4: 14)
    • But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building (Hebrews 9: 11).

The Year of Jubile was also intertwined with the Feast of Tabernacles (Leviticus 25)

  • It was celebrated every 50th Year and was a year in which there was rest and a return of all possessions that had been lost to creditors.
  • It was a Year of Liberty
  • The Jubile was announced on the Day of Atonement of the preceding or 49th Year
  • Trumpets were blown in anticipation (Leviticus 25: 9)
  • Chabad.org claims that the Jubile was to be only celebrated when all tribes are living in Israel
  • However. I recommend that the Jubile should be celebrated based on Zechariah’s reelation that the Feasts of the Lord and His Rests are for all nations.
  • Therefore, counting from 50Ad, I saw that a Jubilee should have been celebrated in the Year 2000.
  • A Shemitah was celebrated in 2001.
  • Failing the observances of debt forgiveness and return of inheritances, is this the reason why the new millenium 2000 has been marked with such distresses in the earth?

Jesus is the Jubile or Liberator of His People the Jews and all nations

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised

To preach the acceptable Year of the Lord (Luke 4: 16 – 19)

Sukkot – Sukkot or Succot

  • Feast of Booths or Feast of Ingathering
  • Days 15 – 22
  • September 23rd to October 4th
  • Celebrated 7 days
  • Seven days of feasting and rejoicing to the Lord
  • sacrifices, offerings and dwelling in booths
  • a memorial
  • Sabbath or Convocation on Tishri 16 or September 28th – a sabbath
  • Sabbath on Tishri 22 or October 4th
  • The nation of Israel were commanded to publicly read the scriptures at the end of every 7 years. You see why nations that remove the scriptures from public places become lawless as there is no conviction for sins:

And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles

When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing

Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law

And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it (Deuteronomy 31: 10 – 13)

The Sabbaths or days of rest during the Feast of Sukkot

The Jews were commanded to rest on the first day of the Feast of Sukkot (Tishri 15 or September 28th, 2015) and on the eight day (or Tishri 22 or October 5th 2015).:

Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the LORD for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest.

“Remember that this seven-day festival to the LORD—the Festival of Shelters—begins on the fifteenth day of the appointed month,fn after you have harvested all the produce of the land. The first day and the eighth day of the festival will be days of complete rest  (Leviticus 23: 39).

The Convocations

  • Four convocations were held in Moses’ era
  • Days 1, 10, 15 and 22
  • rest from labor
  • giving of offerings
  • reading and interpretation of the scriptures

…The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD

On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein

Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein

Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days

And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month

1. Comparison Between The Worship In The Feast Of Tabernacles And The  Heavenly Tabernacle

The previous post was titled, The Feast Of Tabernacles Illustrates The Mystery Of The Heavenly Tabernacle.   We learnt that this heavenly tabernacle is greater and more perfect than the earthly and received a description throughout the scriptures.https://i1.wp.com/heartofwisdom.com/images/sukkah3.jpg

I am led by the Father to write today about the Comparison Between The Worship In The Feast Of Tabernacles And The  Heavenly Tabernacle. This is important because God revealed the heavenly by giving us patterns in the earthly.

When we examine the Feast of Tabernacles, we see patterns of the heavenly worship that God wants us to bring into the earth – Heaven on Earth.

THE CHIEF REVELATION is that God established the Feast of Tabernacles as the time for the Earthly Church to pray and bring the judgments of God to the Earth.

I shared about the heavenly tabernacle or temple from the writings of Apostles Paul and Peter, but would like to  share more:

The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men – Psalm 11: 4.

In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears – Psalm 18: 6.

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple – Isaiah 6: 1.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God –  Revelation 3: 12.

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them – Revelation 7: 15.

Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest – Revelation 15: 4.

And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened – Revelation 15: 5.

After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened (NIV).

2. Events in the Feast of Tabernacles that reveal the worship in the Heavenly tabernacle

a. Blowing of the Trumpets – Leviticus 23: 24

The purpose was to call gather the people to a “solemn assembly”. It was celebrated on Day 1 of month 7. This was a day of rest and a holy convocation (Leviticus 23: 24 & 25; Joel 2: 15).  The first recording of the heavenly trumpet is found in Exodus 19: 16 which documented the fear that entered the hearts of Israel when they heard the sound.  That was the first call to order in the earth that we know about.

However, Apostle Paul told us that we need not fear the sound of the heavenly trumpet, because as members of the Church of the Firstborn, we have a spiritual connection and place in the heavenly Mount Zion. This is the rest or Sabbath that Apostle Paul spoke about in Hebrews 4.

When the believer becomes a Citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven by faith in Jesus Christ, he or she is given access to the Heavenly Temple. It is here that we fellowship with the Saints and Angels of Heaven and receive revelation about the deep things of God:

18 You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm;

19 to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them,

20 because they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.

21 The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, “I am trembling with fear.”[d]

22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly,

23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,

24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12: 18 – 22).

When I looked further, I saw that in heaven, seven trumpets were given to seven Angels. Meantime, one Angel stood before the Throne with a golden censer and incense. As saints prayed, this Angel offered their Prayers upon the Altar as a sacrifice to God and this sweet odor ascended to God (Revelation 8).

The Angel then took this censer, filled it with fire from the Altar, then cast it into the earth.  The mystery of the Blowing of the Trumpets is then revealed in heaven. When the prayers of the praying Saints are cast into the earth, the seven Angels respond by blowing the seven Trumpets. Archangel Michael told me that this is the reason why the Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated  in Month 7.

The mystery is that the sweet prayers of the saints become the CHANNEL OF JUDGMENT on the wicked in the earth:

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk – Revelation 9: 20.

b. Day of Atonement on Day 10 – Leviticus 23: 27

I referred in the previous post to the one time Atonement that Christ made in the Heavenly Tabernacle. The revelation is that the believer must confess sins and receive forgiveness by the blood of Jesus.  Nations must make reparation for national sins by seeking forgiveness and cleansing by the blood of Christ. This is necessary to prevent demonic attachment and curses.

c. 7 days of sacrifices, offerings and dwelling in booths from day 15 – 21 – Leviticus 23: 34 – 36

The sacrifices of the believer are spiritual (1 Peter 2: 5) and include righteousness (Deuteronomy 33: 19, Psalm 4: 5); a broken and contrite spirit (Psalm  51: 17); thanksgiving or the “fruit of our lips” (Psalms 107: 22, Hosea 14: 2); continual praise (Hebrews 13: 15); prayer (Isaiah 56: 7); good deeds (Hebrews 13: 16); clean lives to be offered to God as a sweet savour (2 Corinthians 2: 15).

The heavenly sacrifices and offering include verbal declarations of worship by all inhabitants (Revelation 4 & 5); visible homage by the Elders and Angels such as casting down crowns and falling down before the Throne (Revelation 4: 19 & Revelation 5: 8 & 14); prayers of the saints (Revelation 8: 4 – 13). Archangel Gabriel said that we are to humble ourselves and follow their example.  I thank God that I have been humbled to participate in this fellowship.

Believe it or not, the martyred saints in heaven intercede constantly for vengeance (Revelation 6: 9 -11).

The booths in which Israel dwelt were made from “boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees…boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook” (Leviticus 23: 40). I wrote previously about the symbolism of dwelling in booths and also refer us to heaven where the saints wave palm branches in worship to God (Revelation 7: 9).

d. Four convocations (h4744/miqra’ ) – Day 1, 10, 15 and 22 – Leviticus 23

The Father asked me about the meaning of a convocation. According to the scriptures, God commanded the following during a holy convocation:

  • rest from laborhttps://i2.wp.com/www.mtcfc.org/graphics/hc_2014_flyer.jpg

  • only eating was allowed
  • affliction of the soul – repentance and prayer
  • giving of offerings
  • assembling to worship God
  • reading and interpreting of the scriptures

Conclusion

God in His Wisdom knew that His people need a special time for connecting with Heaven, spiritual refreshing, a concentrated time of international warfare and  physical rest.

I wonder what would happen if Israel and the Saints add the deeper components of this feast to our lives. I personally can’t wait for the 2015 Celebration in the Will of the Lord. Angelic blessings, peace and prosperity.

1. Why am I writing about the Feast of Tabernacles?

The intent to write about the Feast of Tabernacles was first impressed upon me during the 2014 celebrations. I heard quite a few preachers saying that the Feast of Tabernacles prophetically refers to the Rapture because the Lord will blow His Trumpet when He returns for His Saints. While this could be true, I was shown, by revelation, that the Feast of Tabernacles refers to a more practical and immediate meaning that has not yet been applied by the Body of Christ.

2. What is the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles?

The Jewish Feast of Tabernacles (cukkah/H5521) was one of three yearly feasts that God commanded the Jews to celebrate. It was celebrated after the gathering in of the final harvest of the year and was a period of rest after four months of reaping, production and storage of food.  As in the other two feasts, God commanded the Jews to set time aside to worship and to rest.

During the celebration of these three feasts, Israel enjoyed at least 21 or more national holidays associated with spiritual renewal. This points us to the goodness of God, who desires His people to enjoy rest periods and not to slave at work. God therefore reveals that rest and not hard, relentless labor, is the ideal for the citizens of His Kingdom:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11: 28.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his – Hebrews 4: 9 & 10.

Cukkah, the Jewish word for Tabernacles, first occured in Genesis 33: 17 and is translated as tabernacle (12 times), booth (11 times), pavilion (5 times), cottage (1 time), covert (1 time) and tents (1 time). In the natural, Cukkah means a rude or temporary shelter and is not a place for longevity.

It was in Succoth (Cukkowth/H5523), that Jacob built a house for himself and booths for his cattle, finding a place of rest after twenty years of hard labor with his Uncle Laban:

And Jacob journeyed to Succoth (Cukkowth/H5523), and built him an house, and made booths (cukkah/H5521) for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth (Cukkowth/H5523) – Genesis 33: 17.

Jacob should have stayed in Succoth (booths) rather than relocating close to Shechem, a Caananite city where he encountered personal disaster in an unsavory situation related to his daughter Diana.

We will avert personal and national disaster when we take time to dwell in the booths or tabernacles or Presence of God.

3. When was the Feast of Tabernacles celebrated?

During Jewish month 7 = October

The Feast of Tabernacles was celebrated during the 7th Jewish month, with 7 pointing to the the Law of Sevens  as well as rest at the end of a period of Creation. Like the other feasts, where the dates match exactly, this play on the number 7 tells us that God used this opportunity to recreate or renew His People in His Image and Likeness:

Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine – Deuteronomy 16: 13.

Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty – Deuteronomy 16: 16.

Examples of offerings given to the Lord during The Feast of Tabernacles

King Solomon kept the Feast of Tabernacles

Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch

Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles – 2 Chronicles 8: 12 & 13.

And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem

They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required – Ezra 3: 1 & 3.

The Jews were commanded to dwell in booths  made with the branches of thick trees, during the seven days of the feast. I am reminded of the Palm Branches that the saints wave to God in heaven (Revelation 7: 9) and of those Palm branches that the Jews waved to King Jesus on His way into Jerusalem (John 12: 3):

Ye shall dwell in booths H5521 seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: H5521

That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, H5521 when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God- Leviticus 23: 42.

And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, H5521 as it is written – Nehemiah 8: 15.

Since booths represent the Presence and Protection of the Lord, the Feast of Tabernacles is a time to pray for personal and national protection

Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion H5521 from the strife of tongues – Psalm 31: 20.

Since Tabernacle also refers to the Tabernacle of David, where the Priests were appointed to prophesy and sing, the Feast of Tabernacles is a time of prophetic utterance and revelation from heaven

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle H5521 of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old – Amos 9: 11.

The Feast of Tabernacles was a time to offer advanced praises to God for the blessings of the upcoming year

Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice – Deuteronomy 16: 15.

Since the Feast of Tabernacles was designed as a time of perpetual worship and resulting blessings for all nations, Kingdom Citizens should set time aside for the celebration and worship of the True and Living God in order for rain to fall on our lands

And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one

And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited…

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles

And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain

And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles  – Zechariah 14: 9, 11, 16, 17 & 18.

At the end of every 7 years, God commanded Israel to set aside time during The Feast of Tabernacles for rehearsing and teaching of the scriptures to the nation

And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it – Deuteronomy 31: 10 – 13.

Example of the Awesome Presence and visitation of God during the seventh month

King Solomon dedicated the Temple that he built during the Feast of Tabernacles (2 Chronicles 5: 3) the seventh Jewish month and the Presence of the Lord filled the building with such a thick cloud that the Priests could not stand to minister (1 Kings 8 & 2 Chronicles 7: 2). He set an example for us in his prayer of repentance, pleasing God to such a degree that fire came down from heaven, burning the sacrifices without human intervention (2 Chronicles 7: 1). God was pleased and appeared to the King, promising to establish him if he would keep His ways (1 Kings 9). This is a truly impressive account of the impact of the Feast of Tabernacles.

4. The Agenda of the Feast of Tabernacles and meaning for the Body of Christ

Day 1 of the seventh month – Blowing of the Trumpets, a day of rest and a convocation

= An announcement on the first day of the month that God was about to release the nation from the oppression of the enemy. How do I know this?

The meaning of the Blowing of the Trumpets was revealed in the Flood of Noah’s era. After the flood, the waters decreased continually and the tops of the mountains were seen on the 1st day of  month 10th (Genesis 8: 5). This is a replay of Creation Day 3 in which God removed the waters from the face of the earth, thus releasing the earth from the oppression and heaviness that had covered it (Genesis 1:  and Psalm 104: 5 – 10). This symbolically refers to the removal of satanic oppression from the nations. I believe that God used the Feast of Tabernacles to remind Israel that the earth would not remain covered under the ice of the upcoming winter.

The Blowing of the Trumpets refer to the decrees that the Body of Christ is to make against the hosts of hell in relation to any issues concerning the nations:

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation

Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD – Leviticus 23: 24 & 25.

The Blowing of Trumpets was associated with worship and war. This is a time of warfare against hell and Trumpets are blown to remind God to come forth to help and deliver His people:

And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies – Numbers 10: 9.

Day 10 – Day of atonement = Time to intercede for the nations in a 24 Hour Prayer Vigil

The atonement began in the evening of the ninth day of the seventh month until the evening of the tenth 10 day. This was  a sabbath of rest:

Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD

And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God

It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath – Leviticus 23: 27 & 28

Day 15 – 22nd = seven days of rest, celebration, offerings, worship, praise and rejoicing to the Almighty God, with two convocations or services on the 15th and 22nd:

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD

On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein

Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein  – Leviticus 23: 24.

And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gate – Deuteronomy 16: 14

Conclusion

The Feast of Tabernacles symbolizes the gathering of the Church or Body of Christ to worship, war, repent, intercede and to give offerings to the Lord on behalf of the nations. It is a special time in which the Body of Christ should anticipate special Visitation from God and visible manifestations of signs and wonders from heaven.

I believe, according to the scriptures,  that there are many blessings to be gained if  the Church would set this time aside to adhere to this perpetual feast. Can you imagine what Earth would be like if the Church International joins forces during the seventh month of the year?

Angelic blessings and prosperity to you and blessings of the Christmas season.

Earth’s Earliest Historical Calendar – Revealed In The Book Of Genesis

Archangel Gabriel revealed the 2014 Earth’s position in God’s 70 Year Calendar or Countdown

I ended the previous post with a 70 year countdown from the Year AD 70 which was the time of the Jewish exile from the land of Israel. AD 70 was also the 70th year after the Birth of Christ the Messiah. Archangel Gabriel gave a prophecy to us through beloved Prophet Daniel which revealed that there would be 70 year countdowns from the declaration of the rebuilding of Jerusalem and release from the Babylonian captivity to the birth of Messiah:

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Know therefore and understand, [that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [shall be] seven weeks, and (plus) threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the prince of the people that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof [shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined (Dan 9: 25 & 26).

King Cyrus gave this declaration in 539 BC. In a previous article titled, Countdown To The Messiah – Time of His Birth, Ezra the scribe confirmed this in Ezra 1: 1 – 3:

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah
Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem

I showed that from 539BC, time of the fulillment of the prophecy, the countdown took place as follows:

    • 7 seventy years (490 years) from 539 BC to 119 BC then7 seven year periods (49 years) from 49 BC.
    • The birth of Messiah was in the 50th year of that countdown.
    • 7 seven year periods (49 years) from 119 BC to the time of the birth of Christ.
    • Therefore we know that Christ was born in the Year of Jubilee.
    • Microscopically, these countdowns parallel the celebration of the Feast of Weeks, which is from Passover to Pentecost. We see that Jubilee is parallel to Pentecost, the time of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit..

A new 70 year countdown begin at the Year of the Lord’s advent

We can safely begin a new 70 year countdown from the birth of Christ based on Archangel Gabriel’s prophecy and the timing of the exile from the land in AD 70. This is God’s way of confirming the Archangel Gabriel – Daniel prophecy as well as Jeremiah’s prophecy regarding the 70 year exile. AD 70 was a significant clue to remind the Jews about Jeremiah’s prophecy and to remind His people to call on God.

However, when counting earth’s position in God’s calendar, we need to refer to the calendar given to Moses and the Jews. The birth of Christ took place on this calendar, in which April or Abib is the first Jewish month and September is the 6th Jewish month given on the Jewish calendar.

The timing of this calendar was confirmed because Archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary in the 6th Jewish month, parallel to the day of Adam’s creation and to announce the creation of the last Adam:

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adamwas made a quickening spirit (1 Corinthians 15: 45).

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit (1 Corinthians 15: 45).

Key patterns revealed in the 70 year countdown which give a clue to the interpretation of time

Let us review key events in earth history since then, beginning with the Jews then other nations.

As I reviewed Countdown To The Messiah – Time of His Birth, I saw key patterns during the 70 year countdown which took place from the fulfillment of Archangel Gabriel’s prophecies. We need to pay attention to the repition of these patterns in Arab, Jewish and World history and events:

This is seen in 539 BC – 1st year of the 1st 70 year of the 490 year countdown.

a. Appearance of new World Empires/Superpowers (Middle East, ??others) with

b. key interconnections occur between the Empire of the Medes and Persians and the Jewish diaspora/nation in the beginning of a 70 year countdown with

c a stirring up in the Jews to return to God

  • King Cyrus conquers the Babylonian Empire from Belshazzar the Babylonian.
  • His Empire of the Medes and Persians represents the ram with two horns (Daniel 8: 20).
  • King Cyrus passes a law regarding the release of the Jews for the rebuilding of the Temple and circulates this throughout the Empire
  • God stirred up the spirit of the “chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites… . to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem” (Ezra 1: 5).
  • Ezra wrote that the people who went up from the captivity repossessed their cities by the 7th Jewish month = October. This is prophetically significant since it aligned perfectly with the Blowing of the Trumpets (day 1), Day of Atonement (Day 10) and Feast of Tabernacles.
  • Parallels AD 70 with the exile from Israel by the hand of the Romans, 4th beast of Daniel 8..

330 BC – 2nd year of the 4 th 70 year countdown

a. New World Power arises/takes over previous.

b. New era in the earth

c. forcible conquest of earth peoples with their forcible conversion to the belief system of the new world order

  • Alexander the Great conquers the Empire of the Medes and Persians in fulfillment of prophecy (Daniel
  • Alexander’s kingdom/SuperPower, represents the rough goat of Daniel 8: 21
  • Alexander attempted to convert the world religion, politics, culture to Greek.
  • this 4th 70 year represents a new era/season of time in the earth.

BC 63 – Romans conquered Jerusalem

a. Emergence of a new World Power

b. social, political, religious, moral implications for the planet, Jews and Christians.

c. humans are worshipped as god

d. rigorous persecution of Christians

e. birth of the Messiah 63 years later.

e. Murder of the Messiah 95 years later in a joint collaboration between Jewish religious and Roman political system

f. Represents the 4th beast of Daniel 8

  • occurred during the final 70 year countdown of the 490 years .
  • this final 70 of 490 years occurred between 119 BC – 70 BC.
  • BC 63 represents the 63rd year of this final 70 year countdown
  • and the 482 nd year of the 490 countdown
  • Romans conquered Jerusalem (last 7 years of this period63rd

BC 7 – Archangel Gabriel appears to Mary in the 6th Jewish month

  • announcement of Messiah’s birth
  • end of 400 years of silence from heaven.
  • renewal and restoration of the Jewish race.
  • salvation of all nations from sins

Conclusion

The key is to match these periods of time with the 70 year countdown in the post “Times” In The Earth – Countdown In Sevens – Eras Of Time .

I believe that we will also be elicit patterns in history and to possibly chart future patterns in order to redeem the times since the days are evil.

Examples:

1960

  • the 1st year of a new 70 year period
  • 4th 70 year period since 20 AD
  • this is a twin – 1st and 4th – a new era
  • 6 is the creation of man
  • 1960s represented the creation of a new, rebellious world order of new age, hippie movement and drug culture, removal of prayer and bible from schools, Civil Rights Movement.
  • Instead of light, the earth entered a period of darkness which still has deleterious effects on the nations, particularly America which led this movement.

2014

  • first of a new 7
  • 8th of the 70th which started in 1960
  • emergence of a new Islamic state in Iraq, with implications for Christians, Jews and other infidels.

The Jubile is the time of return

In the previous post, The Jubile Reveals God’s Intentions For Overflow And Blessings, I wrote that the words return, restored and  redeemed were used repeatedly in scriptures in reference to the Jubile. One important element of the Jubile was the restoration of land to Jews who had sold out their inheritance in order to get money. This was very important to God since He wanted Jews to retain their lots or possessions in their tribes forever:

And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family – Leviticus 25: 10

In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession – Leviticus 25: 13

In the Year of Jubilee the field will revert to the person from whom it was bought, the one whose land it was – Leviticus 27: 24

But if they do not acquire the means to repay, what was sold will remain in the possession of the buyer until the Year of Jubilee. It will be returned in the Jubilee, and they can then go back to their property –  Leviticus 25: 28

But houses in villages without walls around them are to be considered as belonging to the open country. They can be redeemed, and they are to be returned in the Jubilee – Leviticus 25: 31

So the property of the Levites is redeemable—that is, a house sold in any town they hold—and is to be returned in the Jubilee, because the houses in the towns of the Levites are their property among the Israelites – Leviticus 25: 33

God is so serious about the Jubile that He judged Israel and King Zedekiah for failing to observe it

The Jubile was a covenant between God and Israel, a memorial of their captivity and freedom from slavery in Egypt.  We see that God judged the nation for refusing to release their own brothers and sisters in the time of the Release.

Many years ago, as I read through the scriptures, I was struck by the refusal of King Zedekiah to obey the command and by the judgment that God passed on him.

God did to Israel what they did to their brothers and sisters. They refused to set the captives free and God in anger sent them into captivity:

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people in Jerusalem to make a proclamation of liberty to them,

that everyone should set free his Hebrew slaves, male and female, so that no one should enslave a Jew, his brother.

10 And they obeyed, all the officials and all the people who had entered into the covenant that everyone would set free his slave, male or female, so that they would not be enslaved again. They obeyed and set them free.

11 But afterward they turned around and took back the male and female slaves they had set free, and brought them into subjection as slaves.

12 The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah from the Lord:

13 “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: I myself made a covenant with your fathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, saying,

14 ‘At the end of seven years each of you must set free the fellow Hebrew who has been sold to you and has served you six years; you must set him free from your service.’ But your fathers did not listen to me or incline their ears to me.

15 You recently repented and did what was right in my eyes by proclaiming liberty, each to his neighbor, and you made a covenant before me in the house that is called by my name,

16 but then you turned around and profaned my name when each of you took back his male and female slaves, whom you had set free according to their desire, and you brought them into subjection to be your slaves.

17 “Therefore, thus says the Lord: You have not obeyed me by proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother and to his neighbor; behold, I proclaim to you liberty to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine, declares the Lord. I will make you a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth (Ezekiel 34).

The significance of the Jubile in 2015

The first is a message to the Jews living in the land of Israel. The nation must observe the Jubile correctly in order to receive God’s blessings. There are many modern-day applications to which the covenant applies. No one is to make a return then reclaim it. This is abhorrent to your Heavenly Father.

In order to keep the Jubile and to incur God’s favor, Israel must do right to the Jews who returned from the diaspora. They have been dispossessed for over two millenia and seek refuge in their ancestral home, as the Prophets foretold.

God gave King Zedekiah tit for tat. I encourage the Jews to reconsider the policies and provisions made for these individuals in order to hasten peace with your enemies, who surround you on every side.

Secondly, the restoration of land to owners is particularly important in light of the struggle that the Jews have had with the Palestinians over the past decades. The struggle has escalated to the point where the United Nations has aligned itself with the Palestinians Arabs in the most despicable manner.

As I understand it from heaven’s perspective, any foreigner can live on the land of Israel as long as they do so in peace. In fact, this provision was made in the law of Moses. God commanded the Jews to avoid oppressing strangers since they were strangers in the Land of Egypt.

God is not willing for the Palestinians to perish. He wants Israel to be a blessing to all nations. Yet, how could there be peace when they continually speak about war.

After seeing three visions (over a one week period), in which Lord Jesus took action on the issue, I believe that the Middle East is going to see a shocking series of events in which God will avenge the Jews for the sake of faithful Abraham. Heaven has confirmed this release with the Blowing of Trumpets and the visitation of Lord Jesus to tread down on His enemies in the territory.

God’s Perspective About Territorial Boundaries Of Nations

God Defined The Territorial Boundaries of The Nation Of Israel On More Than One Occasion

1. God counted time in Creation in isolation of the New or Full Moon

God showed us the pattern for counting time in Genesis 1.  He began at Day 1 and counted days which would add up to weeks, months and years. We know that because the forefathers counted time after the same pattern.

God did not count time by either a solar or lunar system. In other words, Father God did not link the passage of time to seasons. Days were counted from sunrise to sunrise, months were counted from day to day.

Since years began on Sunday January 1st and ended on December 30th, there were 364 days in a year with no leap years

Source: Earth’s Earliest Historical Calendar – Revealed In The Book Of Genesis

How Old Is The Earth?

God created the sun, moon and stars on Day 4 of Creation and continued to measure time after the pattern established on Days 1, 2 and 3 of creation.

I believe that the Feasts were linked to the Moon  because people did not have much artificial light and needed that celebratory feeling. They needed to move about and would have needed light for visibility.

2. Chodesh is the Hebrew word for New Moon

After examining the usage of chodesh (H2320), the Hebrew word for New Moon, I saw that God used the appearance of a New Moon to mark significant events. However, while New Moons appeared at different times in the month, God did not change His pattern for measuring  time.

In other words, God did not alter His time schedule to match the appearance of the New Moon. This was particularly evident in the record of Noah’s flood which was given to us by God since Noah could not see outside of the Ark.

3. The timing of the New Moons between 1656 – 1657 did not change God’s pattern for counting time – God did not link time to His lunar calendar:

New Moon – February 17th, 1656

Noah is 600 years and 2 months old. He was locked in the Ark and could not see the moon. This record is given by God:

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, H2320 the seventeenth day of the month, H2320 the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened – Genesis 7: 11

Genesis further told us that Noah celebrated his 601st birthday on January 1st and reinforced that February was the 2nd month of his life:

And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry

And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried. – Genesis 8: 13 & 14

New moon  – 17th day of July 1656. Noah was in the 600th year of Noah’s life:

And the ark rested in the seventh month, H2320 on the seventeenth day of the month, H2320 upon the mountains of Ararat.

New Moon – 1st October 1656

And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: H2320 in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, H2320 were the tops of the mountains seen – Genesis 8: 5

New Moon – January 1st 1657. Noah celebrated his 601st birthday

And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the monthH2320 the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry – Genesis 8: 13

New Moon – 27th February 1657

And in the second month, H2320 on the seven and twentieth day of the month, H2320 was the earth dried – Genesis 8: 14.

Summary

Significant events occurred with the appearance of five New Moons in the time of Noah’s flood.

We see, for example, that the New Moon in February 1656 and 1657 occured on the 17th and 27th respectively. God did not reverse or stop time to suit these events, but continued with the creation pattern. We are therefore able to construct a calendar that shows that there were 364 days in the year of the flood.

As the human race progressed, the New Moon would become less significant as modern people would use other inventions including electricity as light sources. God caused lunar eclipses to appear to draw human attention to the heavens and to signal and warn about momentous events.

  • February 17th 1656
  • 17th day of July 1656
  • 1st October 1656
  • January 1st 1657
  • 27th February 1657

4. Other patterns in scriptures confirm that God timed events with the Full Moon in order to add natural light as well as a feeling of celebration and joyousness

God timed the first Jewish New Year with the New Moon – Abib/Nisan 1st 2668

God miraculously commanded the New Moon to prolong that first month in order to give light for the activities, to alert the people and to make a way for the Exodus:

This month H2320 shall be unto you the beginning of months: H2320 it shall be the first month H2320 of the year to you – Exodus 12: 2.

This day came ye out in the month H2320 Abib – Exodus 13: 4.

New Moon – 10th Abib/Nisan 2668  – the Jews were to select the Passover Lamb

Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month H2320 they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house – Exodus 12: 3

New Moon –  14th Abib/Nisan 2668 – the celebration of the first Passover

And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: H2320 and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening – Exodus 12: 6

The first Feast of Unleavened Bread in 2668 was timed with the New Moon

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month H2320 at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month H2320 at even- Exodus 12: 18

New Moon – 15th Day of May 2668 – this is now the second Jewish month.

And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month H2320 after their departing out of the land of Egypt. – Exodus 16: 1

The scriptures show that Moses commanded the Jews to celebrate the feasts on the same time of month each year, in much the same manner that we celebrate our birthdays. Maybe God miraculously gave them a New Moon:

In the fourteenth day of the first month H2320 at even is the LORD’S passover

And on the fifteenth day of the same month H2320 is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread – Leviticus 23: 5 & 6.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, H2320 in the first day of the month, H2320 shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation – Leviticus 23: 24

The Jews kept the Passover on the exact days on the Second year after the exodus

And the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month, H2320 of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying

In the fourteenth day of this monthH2320, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season

And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first monthH2320 at even in the wilderness of Sinai  (Numbers 3: 1, 3 & 5).

5. Chodesh was also used for month in a context that had nothing to do with New Moons, but rather calendar days, confirming that this is a consideration to be made for interpreting the timing of the Feasts

For example:

All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males from a month  H2320 old and upward, were twenty and two thousand

And the LORD said unto Moses, Number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month H2320 old and upward, and take the number of their namesNumbers 3: 39 & 40.

And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a full year and four months. H2320  1 Samuel 27: 7

Blessings.

How Old Is The Earth?

Review of the previous post

In the previous post I answered the question  What Is The Dividing (pĕlag/H6387) Of Times In The Holy Scriptures?  Based on my current understanding of the scriptures, I believe that the fourth beast will reign until God overturns its rule by overtaking the kingdom with the Kingdom of Christ. This will be timed by the appearance of the eleventh horn.

As I wrote last week’s post, I wondered how God counts times and eras – then the answer came clearly. I was reminded about the prophecy that Archangel Gabriel gave to Prophet Daniel about the TIMING of the Messiah’s birth. The Archangel said that Messiah’s arrival would be timed in 70 year Countdowns.

God counts time in 7s and we need to understand the prophetic significance of the Law of 7s in order to

  • correctly interpret the timing of events prophesied in the scriptures
  • understand the season of time in earth history and current affairs
  • understand our plan and purpose in the earth

God taught the Law of 7s  to the human race

Scriptures re veal that God set out the Law of 7s  to symbolize creation, full completion of an event and the onset of a new era.  Our Father God set the pattern for counting time in 7s and we see that early members of the human race understood and applied the  Principle or Law of 7s.

I see too, from the examples in scripture, that God revealed the Law of 7s to the entire human race and not just to the Jews who were selected as a nation of worshipers from the human rebels of earth.

The Law of 7s was therefore practiced by the Creator and therefore by our early ancestors:

  • 7 days of creation freed the earth from nothingness.
  • God rested on the 7th day, showing by example that the human body and spirit need to recuperate.
  • God commanded Noah to take the animals into the Ark by 7s before the flood.
  • God sent the flood 7 days after Noah and his family were safe in the Ark.
  • The ark rested in the 7th month, on the 17th day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat –  Genesis 8: 4.
  • Noah sent forth a dove to see if the water had abated from the earth, but it returned to the Ark. He waited for  7 days before sending it out again.
  • Noah waited another 7 days before sending out the dove, but it did not return. Seven + seven = 14. It took a double seven of time before the earth lost the waters and was recreated as in the beginning.
  • The earth dried on the 7 and 20th day of the second month.

Do you know that God sent the Flood because the people were too busy to include Him in their lives? The Father just told me that they never rested  much less  worshipped. They lived carefree lives of fun, parties, pleasure and drunkenness. Jesus told us that they were consumed with eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.

Jesus reveals too, that the earliest members of the human race  believed in and practiced male – female marriage and walked on two legs rather than on all fours – Luke 17: 27.

  • Lamech lived 777 years while everyone in his time lived to over 800 +.
  • Jacob, poor soul, served 7 years for Rachel.
  • Jacob bowed  7 times to the ground when he met his brother Esau after years of bitter separation.
  • King Pharaoh’s dream about 7 years of famine featured animals and ears of corn in  groups of  7s.

I asked the Father (an aside) why He didn’t reveal the imminent famine to Jacob. The response that Jacob did not have the resources to prepare and would have panicked.

God applied the  ceremonial laws of 7s in the Jewish Tabernacle:

  • 7 lamps in the Tabernacle.
  • the High Priest wore his garments for 7 days of ministry.
  • 7 days of consecration for the priests and the items pertaining to the Altar.
  • the priest dipped his finger in the sacrificial blood and sprinkled it 7 times before the vail of the sanctuary.

Laws of 7s related to health

  • a woman who delivered a male child was to remain unclean for 7 days.
  • 7 days of isolation for skin infections.

Laws of 7s applies to major feasts of the earth, as revealed to the Jews

  • In the fourteenth day (7+ 7) of the first month at even is the LORD’S passover – a double rest – Leviticus 23: 5.
  • The Feast of Unleavened bread began on on the fifteenth day of the first month – Leviticus 23: 6.
  • 7 days for the Feast of Unleavened bread, a rest and fast from leaven and lengthy work of bread making & giving of offerings to the Lord – Exodus 12: 15, 19, Leviticus 23: .
  • Count 7 sabbaths from the day after the Passover, then celebrate the Feast of Pentecost on the 50th day with firstfruit offerings to be waved to the Lord – Leviticus 23: 15.  Now we celebrate the Death & Resurrection of the Lord.
  • A memorial of blowing of trumpets is to be celebrated on the first day of the 7th Jewish month. It was a sabbath, , and a holy convocation unto the Lord – Leviticus 23: 34 – 40.
  • The tenth day of this 7th month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you. This is the time for the church to intercede for the nations
  • The fifteenth day of this 7th month shall be the Feast of tabernacles for 7 days unto the LORD – Leviticus 23: 34.
  • There was a 7 day celebration with waving of branches and dwelling in booths.  The booths symbolized the Blood washed Body/Tabernacle/House/Temple of Christ gathering in His House to worship and praise Him.

Law of 7s applies to Civil Law

  • Celebrate a Sabbath of Rest every 7th year – Leviticus 25: 4.
  • There was a Release of debts at the end of every 7 seven years – Deuteronomy 15.
  • The Jews were commanded to number 7 sabbaths of Years then to celebrate the Jubilee every 50th year – Leviticus 25: 8.
  • The Year of Jubilee was ushered with the trumpet of the Jubilee on the tenth day/day of atonement of the 7th month. This Divine parallel of the Day of Atonement with the ushering of the Year of Jubilee symbolized our freedom in Christ, a shadow of THINGS TO COME.
  • 70 years for the land to rest until the return from the captivity – divine punishment for rebellion and failure to enter the natural and spiritual rest of God.

The Law of 7s applied to the entrance of  Messiah

Other application of the Law of 7s

  • enemies would flee 7 ways if they attacked the obedient – Deuteronomy 28: 7
  • To conquer Jericho, God instructed that the army was to march around the city once a day for six days and 7 times on the 7th day. Seven priests carrying trumpets were to go before the ark and were to blow the trumpets on the 7th day. The army was commanded to shout when the priests made a long blast with the ram’s horn in order to topple the walls – Joshua 6: 4 (man/new season).
  • Samson had 7 miraculous locks of hair which were never cut – until Delilah.
  • Elijah told Naaman to wash 7 times in the Jordan in order to be healed of leprosy – 2 Kings 5: 10.
  • Jesus fed 4000 plus people with 7 loaves and got 7 baskets of bread at the end of the meal – Mark 8: 6 – 8.
  • The Book of Revelation is full of 7s.

Next time I will attempt  to show how God divides time into eras using the Law of 7s. However, I wrote previously about the Countdown to the Messiah, which is a classical example of how the Father measures time.We will not be lost and will actually become prophetic people when we understand and apply this Law of 7s. Halelujah.

Blessings, peace and angelic protection.  Here is my preliminary work:

Seven in the scriptures

1. Jesus told us to take the Communion in Remembrance of Him

Did you take the Communion today? I encourage you to do so regularly, even in your home. You do not need to wait on someone to administer it to you. The bread represents the body of the Lord and the wine His blood. It is a mystery.

The believer eats the bread in remembrance of the crucifixion of the Lord’s body and drinks the blood in remembrance of the wounding of His blood.  Since I am participating in a mystery and am healed by His stripes; I therefore claim the healing that is mine – in health, finances, relationships and in every area where I hurt:

And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance G364 of me – Luke 22: 19

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance G364 of me

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance G364 of me – 1 Corinthians 11: 24 & 25

Anamimnēskō, which is a root word of remembrance, G364  reveals how the Lord’s death, burial and resurrection should be commemorated. The usage of the word instructs us that the believer must meditate on, mull over, recollect and review the history and meaning of  the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus in order to be strengthened in his or hear faith:

  • recall something that was done or said
  • call to mind
  • to be reminded about something important by someone else

Mimnēskomai  which is another root word, suggests to me that there is a dual element of remembrance.  One of the two texts in which it is used says that God is mindful of  humans.  By inference, I therefore believe that God becomes mindful of us when we take the Communion. In other words, God pays particular attention to the believer  at the time he or she partakes in the Lord’s Supper:

… one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful G3403 of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? – Hebrews 2: 6.

2. The Revelation that is wrapped up in the Remembrance

I initially began to write about the Mystery of the  Lord’s Supper on Facebook. As I attempted to explain the mystery, the Father reminded me about The Book of Remembrance.  I immediately realized that Father had unlocked the key to the revelation of the Mystery of the Lord’s Supper.

Prophet Malachi saw into heaven and was given a most astonishing revelation about the Book of Remembrance.

Malachi  had given a very serious Prophetic Word of Correction and  Judgment to the nation of Israel. God showed him that the Angels were commanded to write a Book of Remembrance about the people who  heeded the Prophetic Word by changing their ways, and who spoke often about what they had heard from the mouth of the Prophet.

I hear the Father telling me that the Book of Remembrance is Heaven’s Hall of Fame. The Guinness Book of Records is earth’s paltry comparison. Only the most outstanding people are recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance (zikrown /H2146) was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name – Malachi 3: 16.

Then those who feared the LORD spoke with each other, and the LORD listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name (NLT).

Zikrown (H2146) is the Hebrew word for Remembrance. It means memorial. However, I was fascinated to discover the ways in which it was used in the Hebrew text:

i. A memorial throughout generations

God will never forget those who partake.

ii. A memorial between thy eyes

The frontal lobe of the brain is represented in the phrase “between thy eyes.” It is associated with the retention of  longer term memories which are not task-based. These are often memories associated with emotions derived from input from the brain’s limbic system. In other words, God becomes deeply pleased when the believer remembers the Lord’s death, burial and resurrection by partaking in the Communion.

iii. Memorials in scripture were also rehearsed after they were written.

God asks the Angels to take out the Books of Remembrance on the Communion whenever He hears His people on Earth partaking. Scriptures reveal that when God remembered people, He took action to deliver.

God’s remembrance or memory is triggered by speech, prayers, groanings  (REMINDERS) in heaven and earth.

For example:

  • He remembered that Noah waited for release from the Ark. I believe that Noah and his family were inside speaking about the God’s instructions and deliverance from the flood.
  • God remembered that Abraham had prayed for Lot. Abraham had seen the smoke of Sodom and Gomorrah and reminded God about his nephew.
  • God remembered that Rachel had prayed for a child. She must have reminded Father  about her situation when her sister had another child.
  • God remembered His covenant with Abraham when He heard the groanings of Israel in Egypt.
  • God remembered Hannah’s prayer and gave her a child.

iv. God told Moses to place two onyx stones engraved with the names of the tribes of  Israel into the  shoulders of the High Priest’s ephod or robe.

Jesus is the Great High Priest. Does He engrave our names into His clothes as a memorial  before the Father?

v. God also commanded Moses to make a breastplate of judgment which contained four rows of costly jewels into which the names of each tribe was engraved.

According to Exodus 28: 29,  High Priest Aaron carried the names of the tribes of Israel on the sacred breastpiece over his heart every time He went into the Holy Place as a memorial to the Lord.  The High Priest entered the Holy of Holies once a year on the Day of Atonement. As he did so, the Lord would see His jewels, the children of Israel on the clothing and extend forgiveness of sins of the nation.

More importantly, the breastplate carried the Urim and Thummim which were God’s way of helping the priests to make judgments when they needed guidance.
The revelation is that those who are washed in the blood and saved by grace are continually remembered and forgiven in Heaven whenever we participate in the Lord’s Supper according to the Word of the Lord. This is truly dwelling in the Presence of the Lord and speaks of special favor that is extended by God to those who obey His Word. There is no struggle to access heaven, God, Angels and the resources – heaven is always accessible. We just need to claim by faith what is needed in any situation.

vi. Twelve stones were left in the Jordan as a visible memorial of the miraculous crossing.

The believer who participates in the Communion serve as visible reminders in heaven of the grace and forgiveness of God to humans and the miraculous power of the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord.  Also, the Communion is accompanied by the miraculous as the believer receives healing by His stripes.

vii. The Book of Esther shows that a Book of records is associated with reward for work done for a King.

Whenever the Angels open the Book to make a record, God reads the record that was previously written, remembers the work and labour of the believer and pours out blessings on him/her.
viii. Finally, some memorials in scripture were associated with blowing of trumpets (music) and a holy convocation.

This revelations tells us that the Holy Communion should be a time of celebration rather than sorrow. It is a holy convocation, to be celebrated by those who are holy unto the Lord. There is a more important revelation, however, that I found when I studied the word remembrance.

God commanded the Jews to blow a trumpet whenever they went to war.  When they played the music, God would hear and remember and save them from their enemies (Numbers 10: 9).  The Communion commemorates the battle that Jesus fought and won in hell on our behalf. He came to destroy the works of darkness  and to give the believer victory over the forces of darkness. When the Communion is celebrated with music, God rises to attention and sends His Holy Angels out to war on our behalf,

More to come on the Mystery of the Communion. Blessings, peace and angelic prosperity.

Let us examine God’s strategy in Ps 68 for recovering the “issues from death” (not necessarily in any particular order). He always makes a declaration of His intent to His people, then He arises to scatter the enemy, like He did to Pharaoh and His hosts. Jesus in His life taught the course “how to recover captives 101” and His victory in His death was the eventual triump of the devil who held control of death and its capital hell. In spiritual warfare, God goes before His people like He did in the wilderness (v 7) and angels in chariots follow Him (v 17). God taught us in Rev 19: 11 – 15 that Jesus the avenger rides into battle on a white horse. He wears many crowns as evidence of victories won in warfare and of His Lordship. His clothing is dipped in His enemies’ blood as in Ps 68: 22,23. He also uses the sword of his word to smite His enemy the devil. In His death, He descended into Satan’s territory, accompanied by angelic choirs and warriors in order to recover the captives held there (Ps 68: 18; Eph 4: 8-19). Ps 68:25 reveals that singers and musicians go before the armies of the Lord to distract and confound the devil and his demons (after all, they like music). We also learn from Paul and Silas that praises and prayer cause earthquakes in hell, shake its foundations, cause its doors to open and loosen bonds. This is manifested by a simultaneous event in the earth realm. Examples include the earthquake that took place when Jesus gave up the ghost and the opening of the saint’s graves and resurrections that took place at His death (Mt 27:51 -54). This is the reason why God told Jehoshaphat to put singers and players ahead of his army after the order in heaven (2 Chron 20). The enemies also wonder if they are fighting a choir, become distracted and confused and mutiny. Another example is that of Joshua who was accompanied by the Captain of the Host (Jesus) and angels in the warfare for Jericho (Josh 5: 13-16). God gave the strategy. The people were to do a pretriumphant march/prayer march (the literal walls were thick and tall and needed lots of preparatory shaking equivalent to prayer and fasting). The ark, symbolizing the presence of God, was taken out of the tabernacle and 7 priests blowing trumpets (music) marched ahead of the ark. How do we announce God’s presence except by a musical fanfare as in Ps 100: 2? The Lord says that we have indeed underestimated the power of praise and worship! They were to compass the city 7 times on day 7 (that’s it – no more!) and blow the trumpets. Hmm. God galvinized into action and the kingdom of hell quaked, its doors opened and the ruling principalities had to loose their hold on the city. Hence the walls fell down flat when the people gave a great shout, sound effects to scare the devil out of hell itself. Israel now only had to invade and burn it to the ground (Josh 6). Jesus was not alone when He went down into hell. Do you think that God would leave the angels inactive on the side. After all! They had been waiting for this battle for a long, long time. I could imagine Michael and Gabriel in position leading them on under their Lord’s command! Maybe the Father pelted some hail stones down from heaven like He did for Joshua in 10: 11. Get the picture? More to come!
