Review of the previous post
I wrote in the previous post about the issue of the effeminate and homosexual. This discourse was spurred by Archangel Gabriel’s displeasure with the song “Far Away” by Marsha Ambrosius.
As I traveled home after doing some errands in the city this evening (27th December), Lord Jesus spoke to me about His bitter displeasure with the effeminate. He said that earthly kings convert young men into effeminates. On the contrary, said Lord Jesus, the King of the Heaven and Earth raises His sons to be True Men.
An effeminate is a man or boy who has traits, tastes, habits, etc., traditionally considered feminine, as softness or delicacy (Dictionary.com).
We need to keep in mind that same-sex relationships between men seemed to be more common in ancient societies. However, the principles of scriptures against same-sex relationships must also extend to lesbianism. For this purpose, keep in mind that the term “homosexual” will be used generically to refer to same-sex relationships between a males and males and females and females.
2. Further exploration of the meaning of “abusers of themselves with mankind” – the root word arrēn – G730
I ended the previous post by citing the two texts in the King James Version in which the Greek word arsenokoitēs was used to describe homosexual behavior. Two English phrases represent the translation from the Greek. Homosexuals were described as men who “abusers of themselves with mankind” and ” them that defile themselves with mankind:”
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (malakos/G3120), nor abusers of themselves with mankind/arsenokoitēs (1 Cor 6: 9 & 11).
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners…
for them that defile themselves with mankind = arsenokoitēs (1 Tim 1: 9 & 10).
Many people believe that the New Testament Scriptures are silent on the issue of homosexuality, but this is NOT true. Further exploration of the two root words for arsenokoitēs provides even more astonishing information. One of the two root words is arrēn – G730.
The word arrēn means “a male.” However, it is the usage of this word in the scriptures that provides enlightenment on the issue of God’s stand against homosexuality.
When we interpret the contexts in which arrēn (G730) is used, we see that A Man/Humans Were Designed To Be Male – Female Relationships – They Must Not Abuse Himself Mankind.
It is of great significance that the words of our Lord Jesus are found in the first of the texts in which arrēn was used. These texts cite Jesus’ response to the Jews who asked whether or not a man could divorce his wife “for every cause” (Matthew 19: 3 – 6, Mark 10: 6 – 9).
Jesus’ initial response seems to be irrelevant to the question. However, He endorsed that:
a. God’s Divine Order from the beginning of Creation was the creation of a male/arrēn and female.
b. For this reason, said Lord Jesus, a man must leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife in marriage.
c. only a man and woman must become one flesh or unite sexually.
d. Finally, the Lord taught that this union must not be separated by humans because marriage was established by God. However, divorce was permitted because of the hardness of human hearts. The 20th century heart is even harder, so what about the reasons for divorce. However, that is another issue.
In other words, Lord Jesus taught us that because God created a male and female, the man must leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife. God never changed His creation plan of marriage and sexual intercourse between members of the opposite sex because He is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever.
The second text in which arrēn was used refers to the dedication of Lord Jesus in the temple. We see that Mary and Joseph obeyed the Law and presented Him to the Lord. According to the Law, every Jewish male was holy unto the Lord:
And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was call ed JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present [him] to the Lord
As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male/arrēn that openeth the womb shall be called holy/hagios to the Lord (Luke 2: 21 – 23).
Are these just words? No. God had a plan for males to be holy from the beginning of the Creation.
Hagios is the Greek word used for “holy” in the text and it occurs 229 times in 219 verses in the Greek concordance of the KJV. Furthermore, the Greek word for “holy” (G40/hagios) is used synonymously with Holy Ghost/Spirit (91 times/40%), that which is holy, holy place, holy thing, holy angels, saints (multiple times), holy one, an holy, holy prophets, holy covenant, Holy Father, holy child, holy ground, holy kiss, holy apostles, holy temple, holy brethren, holy calling, holy Lord God Almighty, holy faith, holy conversation, holy commandment, holy mount, holy nation, holy priesthood, holy city, holy Jerusalem.
The word holy (G40/hagios) comes from two root words. One of these words is G53 – hagnos. Hagnos.is used in scriptures to mean chaste virgin to Christ and pure. Wow. God wants men and also women to be chaste and pure.
The English application for chaste would therefore mean that a men and women were designed by God to refrain “from sexual intercourse that is regarded as contrary to morality or religion; virtuous” (Dictionary.com). We know from the teachings of 1 Cor 6: 9 & 11 and 1 Tim 1: 9 & 10 that all sexual conduct outside of God’s order is sin.
The third text I would like to cite is Revelation 12: 5 which teaches us that men were designed to rule after the order of creation. Men were not designed to be behave like women and to bend over to another man:
… she brought forth a man/arrēn child, who was to rule/poimainō all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and [to] his throne.
One usage of the word rule/poimainō in the New Testament reveals that a man was designed to feed the flock of God with the Word of God. A man or woman who is not aligned with God’s created plan for teaching the Word of God has certainly missed his Divine Calling.
Do not even mention how far an individual has strayed if he or she is not aligned with God’s first law which commands us that men and women must marry, have sexual intercourse and procreate. Look at the terrible condition he or she is in.
Lord have mercy!
God’s order of creation is for a man and woman to marry.
