1. Why is  2014 the New Season?

I’ve been interpreting  the meanings of the times based on the prophetic meaning of the days of creation. As we stand poised on the threshhold of 2014, let us see what the year has in store for us based on the meaning of Creation Day 4.

Before I do,  we cannot forget the horrific end of the  Year 2013 for the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, with flooding in this and other nations in the earth.  It is somewhat ironic that the Year 2013 ended with landslides, flooding and death when Creation Day 3 was marked by the removal of water from over the earth  and its emergence from under water.  The rebuilding the nation’s infrastructure seems to be an impossible task when we consider the extent of the damage.

However, let us remember that Creation Day 4 means INITIATION OF A NEW SEASON which in scripture is interpreted to mean a SET OR APPOINTED TIME FOR AN EVENT ON GOD’S CALENDAR TO TAKE PLACE.  The Year 2014 prophetically matches Creation Day 4 = New Seasons. It also begins on Wednesday, the 4th day of the week. This is a double for emphasis. God is not like humans who tell lies, so we can trust His Word. Prophetically, 2014 is a time of

* New beginnings – the recreation of the nation after the floods, just like the earth was recreated after the flood of Noah’s day. We are out to build a new St. Vincent, the future’s in our hands.

* Appointment with God – the nation must humble itself and worship the One True and Living God. Father told me to tell this nation: “do not fear. Those who call on His name will be delivered.” God will pour out His Spirit on the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and reveal great and mighty things if we humble ourselves and pray.

2. Noah worshipped and gave offerings after he exited the ark

The symbolism of 2014 being the Year of New Seasons is even more significant in light of the fact that St. Vincent and the Grenadines was just hit with devastating floods.  As Noah exited the ark, he took several steps that earned God’s favor:

  1. He built an altar – meaning he prayed and worshipped God – He had a WORSHIP SERVICE WITH HIS FAMILY –  Genesis 8: 20
  2. He offered a burnt sacrifice of animals – meaning that he gave offerings to God – Genesis 8: 20

God smelled the sweet savor of Noah’s worship and vowed never again to demolish the entire earth by a flood. He also vowed that seasons would remain, meaning that order would continue in the earth.

We should enter into 2014, not by partying, but by offering praise and thanks to God so that we can enter into the  NEW SEASON and NEW BEGINNING that God has in store for us.

3. God recreated the earth and gave it a NEW BEGINNING after the flood of  Noah’s day

The word of the Lord to the nation is to REBUILD.  As Noah stood on the dawn of the new earth, God spoke the words that He had given to Adam and Eve at the creation of the Old World:

And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth

And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein  (Genesis 9: 1 & 7).

I believe that God wants to give us abundance. We shall not lack, because the Lord is our Provider and Shepherd. God’s words to Noah and to us indicate that He wants us to be prosperous and fruitful. He wants us to take courage and to “be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.”

God repeated the command for emphasis. I believe this is the word for the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and for nations that have experienced destruction, particularly at the end of the year.

However,  we must take the same approach that Noah took and begin this new season with prayer, worship and giving.   As Noah exited the Ark, he was not celebrating the usual Old Year’s service. He was  a thankful man, yet a cautious man, because he knew that there could be a repetition of this flood at any time.

I end with the exhortation of Psalm 67, which again emphasizes that the people of earth must praise God in order to know His way and saving health and in order to receive His blessings and provision:

God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us

That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee

O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee

Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us

God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him

I decree God’s blessings of life, peace and prosperity for you in 2014 and pray that His Angels will surround you always.
