Matching Events In Human History With Patterns Revealed In Archangel Gabriel’s 70 Year Countdown

1. Review of how we came around to the 70 year countdown

In a previous post about the fourth World Super Power of Daniel 7, I began to explore the meaning of a statement, “dividing of times” in Daniel 7: 25:

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

I wrote the following posts in succession in order to answer that question and discovered that God set patterns in place for the occurrence of  events in history that related to the Birth of Messiah. As I write and review the patterns, I see clearly that three Super Powers – Babylonian, Median – Persian and Roman  played a key role in these 70 year countdowns:

2. Amazing Discovery #1 –  There Is A Division, Matching And Mapping Of Time Between Creation And The Time Of The Birth Of Christ

As I reviewed  “Times” In The Earth – Countdown In Sevens – Eras Of Time, I became curious about the year in which the earth was divided. Scripture tells us that it was at the time of Peleg’s birth. I discovered that from the post  How Old Is The Earth? that Peleg was born in 1757. Ha! Here is 7 reemphasized in 1757! God is saying something to us!

Even more curious, I reviewed the timeline in the post “Times” In The Earth – Countdown In Sevens – Eras Of Time to see if there was any match. To my amazement, 1750 was the first year of the 25th seventy year countdown from AD 70  or from the birth of Christ.

Since 1750 was the first year of a new 70 year countdown and 1757 was the first 7th Year in that countdown (1750 to 1820), we can induce that God counted that 7 as a Year of Release. .

In 1757 God released the earth from the Babel Rebellion by dividing the languages and by scattering the people upon the earth in keeping with His command to Adam and Eve.

As I examined the data and saw that 1757 CE was the 7th year of a new 70 year countdown, God opened my eyes and I saw that there was an exact match between time from Creation and time from the birth of Christ. Time was prophetically divided at the time of the birth of Christ.

I asked the question, what are the corresponding events in 1757 CE? Can humans predict future historic events based on this matching of time?

God in His Wisdom divided time, thus simplifying the matter of  humans redeeming time. He did so because He knew that  modern day humans would count time backwards up to the birth of Christ, then forward thereafter, confusing the issue. Humans count time backward, because by and large, they are confused about when time began. God in His Wisdom confirms that time began at His Creation of Earth.

The First Day of the Birth of Christ = The First Day of Creation.

Prophetically speaking, the Light of the World appeared on the Day of the Messiah’s birth

3. Other Examples Related To The Matching Of Time Between Creation And The Time Of The Birth Of Christ

I refer to the post How Old Is The Earth?

• 66 CE – Great Jewish Revolt against the Roman Government.
• 66th Year after Creation  – Was this the Year of Adam and Eve’s Rebellion?
• The 1960s in earth history are equated with
• 70 CE – destruction of Herod’s Temple. Was this the time of the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden?

• 1948 – Abraham was born.
• 1948 – May 15th. Israel was reborn as a nation.  This was God’s birthday gift to their Patriarch Abraham.

• This means that Israel experienced 1878 years of exile, four times the number spent in Egypt. There are still Jews to be repatriated. Meantime, their cries go up to heaven as they labor under adverse conditions in many nations. Lord, please hear your people and have mercy.

• February  17^th 1656 BC – First day of the Flood of Noah’s era.
• 1656 – The Jews were expelled from Britain in 1290 uder the reign of King Edward I and re-admitted in 1656 under the Cromwellian Protectorate (The Cromwell Association, 2001, Visit Jewish London, nd). Archangel Gabriel thanks the British.
  
• 2014 – Abraham was 66 years old.
• 2048 – Isaac was born. Which key world leader would be born into the Jewish nation in 2048?
• 4288 – Birth of Messiah. Will the earth be here in 4288? I believe so.

4. Other matches in Jewish history related to the 70 year Countdown

June 6 – 10, 1967 – six day Israeli war in which Israel destroys the Egyptian air force on the ground, conquers and occupies Sinai and Gaza, conquers the West Bank from Jordan and the Golan Heights from Syria.

1967 symbolizes a Release since it is the 7th Year after 1960, which is the first year of the 28th seventy year from AD 70. June also matches Day 3 of Creation in which God moved the waters of oppression from over the earth and dry land appeared.

Conclusion

Archangel Gabriel just told me that the doctrine of the dividing of times can be explored from many angles. Humans must understand the dividing of times or eras in order to be able to live in wisdom in the earth and to know where we are on God’s Prophetic Calendar.  I refer you again to “Times” In The Earth – Countdown In Sevens – Eras Of Time.

Archangel Gabriel revealed the 2014 Earth’s position in God’s 70 Year Calendar or Countdown

I ended the previous post with a 70 year countdown from the Year AD 70 which was the time of the Jewish exile from the land of Israel. AD 70 was also the 70th year after the Birth of Christ the Messiah. Archangel Gabriel gave a prophecy to us through beloved Prophet Daniel which revealed that there would be 70 year countdowns from the declaration of the rebuilding of Jerusalem and release from the Babylonian captivity to the birth of Messiah:

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Know therefore and understand, [that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [shall be] seven weeks, and (plus) threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the prince of the people that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof [shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined (Dan 9: 25 & 26).

King Cyrus gave this declaration in 539 BC. In a previous article titled, Countdown To The Messiah – Time of His Birth, Ezra the scribe confirmed this in Ezra 1: 1 – 3:

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah

Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem

I showed that from 539BC, time of the fulillment of the prophecy, the countdown took place as follows:

• 7 seventy years (490 years) from 539 BC to 119 BC then7 seven year periods (49 years) from 49 BC.
• The birth of Messiah was in the 50th year of that countdown.
• 7 seven year periods (49 years) from 119 BC to the time of the birth of Christ.
• Therefore we know that Christ was born in the Year of Jubilee.
• Microscopically, these countdowns parallel the celebration of the Feast of Weeks, which is from Passover to Pentecost.We see that Jubilee is parallel to Pentecost, the time of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit..

 

A new 70 year countdown begin at the Year of the Lord’s advent

We can safely begin a new 70 year countdown from the birth of Christ based on Archangel Gabriel’s prophecy and the timing of the exile from the land in AD 70. This is God’s way of confirming the Archangel Gabriel – Daniel prophecy as well as Jeremiah’s prophecy regarding the 70 year exile. AD 70 was a significant clue to remind the Jews about Jeremiah’s prophecy and to remind His people to call on God.

However, when counting earth’s position in God’s calendar, we need to refer to the calendar given to Moses and the Jews. The birth of Christ took place on this calendar, in which April or Abib is the first Jewish month and September is the 6th Jewish month given on the Jewish calendar.

The timing of this calendar was confirmed because Archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary in the 6th Jewish month, parallel to the day of Adam’s creation and to announce the creation of the last Adam:

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adamwas made a quickening spirit (1 Corinthians 15: 45).

Key patterns revealed in the 70 year countdown which give a clue to the interpretation of time

Let us review key events in earth history since then, beginning with the Jews then other nations.

As I reviewed Countdown To The Messiah – Time of His Birth, I saw key patterns during the 70 year countdown which took place from the fulfillment of Archangel Gabriel’s prophecies. We need to pay attention to the repition of these patterns in Arab, Jewish and World history and events:

This is seen in 539 BC – 1st year of the 1st 70 year of the 490 year countdown.

a. Appearance of new World Empires/Superpowers (Middle East, ??others) with

b. key interconnections occur between the Empire of the Medes and Persians and the Jewish diaspora/nation in the beginning of a 70 year countdown with

c a stirring up in the Jews to return to God

• King Cyrus conquers the Babylonian Empire from Belshazzar the Babylonian.
• His Empire of the Medes and Persians represents the ram with two horns (Daniel 8: 20).
• King Cyrus passes a law regarding the release of the Jews for the rebuilding of the Temple and circulates this throughout the Empire
• God stirred up the spirit of the “chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites… . to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem” (Ezra 1: 5).
• Ezra wrote that the people who went up from the captivity repossessed their cities by the 7th Jewish month = October. This is prophetically significant since it aligned perfectly with the Blowing of the Trumpets (day 1), Day of Atonement (Day 10) and Feast of Tabernacles.
• Parallels AD 70 with the exile from Israel by the hand of the Romans, 4th beast of Daniel 8..

330 BC – 2nd year of the 4 th 70 year countdown

a. New World Power arises/takes over previous.

b. New era in the earth

c. forcible conquest of earth peoples with their forcible conversion to the belief system of the new world order

• Alexander the Great conquers the Empire of the Medes and Persians in fulfillment of prophecy (Daniel
• Alexander’s kingdom/SuperPower, represents the rough goat of Daniel 8: 21
• Alexander attempted to convert the world religion, politics, culture to Greek.
• this 4th 70 year represents a new era/season of time in the earth.

BC 63 – Romans conquered Jerusalem

a. Emergence of a new World Power

b. social, political, religious, moral implications for the planet, Jews and Christians.

c. humans are worshipped as god

d. rigorous persecution of Christians

e. birth of the Messiah 63 years later.

e. Murder of the Messiah 95 years later in a joint collaboration between Jewish religious and Roman political system

f. Represents the 4th beast of Daniel 8

• occurred during the final 70 year countdown of the 490 years .
• this final 70 of 490 years occurred between 119 BC – 70 BC.
• BC 63 represents the 63rd year of this final 70 year countdown
• and the 482 nd year of the 490 countdown
• Romans conquered Jerusalem (last 7 years of this period63rd

BC 7 – Archangel Gabriel appears to Mary in the 6th Jewish month

• announcement of Messiah’s birth
• end of 400 years of silence from heaven.
• renewal and restoration of the Jewish race.
• salvation of all nations from sins

Conclusion

The key is to match these periods of time with the 70 year countdown in the post “Times” In The Earth – Countdown In Sevens – Eras Of Time .

I believe that we will also be elicit patterns in history and to possibly chart future patterns in order to redeem the times since the days are evil.

• 1960s represented the creation of a new, rebellious world order of new age, hippie movement and drug culture, removal of prayer and bible from schools, Civil Rights Movement.
• Instead of light, the earth entered a period of darkness which still has deleterious effects on the nations, particularly America which led this movement.

• first of a new 7
• 8th of the 70th which started in 1960
• emergence of a new Islamic state in Iraq, with implications for Christians, Jews and other infidels.

“Times” In The Earth – Countdown In Sevens – Eras Of Time

Review of the previous post

In the previous post I answered the question  What Is The Dividing (pĕlag/H6387) Of Times In The Holy Scriptures?  Based on my current understanding of the scriptures, I believe that the fourth beast will reign until God overturns its rule by overtaking the kingdom with the Kingdom of Christ.This will be timed by the appearance of the eleventh horn.

As I wrote last week’s post, I wondered how God counts times and eras – then the answer came clearly. I was reminded about the prophecy that Archangel Gabriel gave to Prophet Daniel about the TIMING of the Messiah’s birth. The Archangel said that Messiah’s arrival would be timed in 70 year Countdowns.

God counts time in 7s and we need to understand the prophetic significance of the Law of 7s in order to

• correctly interpret the timing of events prophesied in the scriptures
• understand the season of time in earth history and current affairs
• understand our plan and purpose in the earth

God taught the Law of 7s  to the human race

Scriptures re veal that God set out the Law of 7s  to symbolize creation, full completion of an event and the onset of a new era.  Our Father God set the pattern for counting time in 7s and we see that early members of the human race understood and applied the  Principle or Law of 7s.

I see too, from the examples in scripture, that God revealed the Law of 7s to the entire human race and not just to the Jews who were selected as a nation of worshipers from the human rebels of earth.

The Law of 7s was therefore practiced by the Creator and therefore by our early ancestors:

• 7 days of creation freed the earth from nothingness.
• God rested on the 7th day, showing by example that the human body and spirit need to recuperate.
• God commanded Noah to take the animals into the Ark by 7s before the flood.
• God sent the flood 7 days after Noah and his family were safe in the Ark.
• The ark rested in the 7th month, on the 17th day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat –  Genesis 8: 4.
• Noah sent forth a dove to see if the water had abated from the earth, but it returned to the Ark. He waited for  7 days before sending it out again.
• Noah waited another 7 days before sending out the dove, but it did not return. Seven + seven = 14. It took a double seven of time before the earth lost the waters and was recreated as in the beginning.
• The earth dried on the 7 and 20th day of the second month.

Do you know that God sent the Flood because the people were too busy to include Him in their lives? The Father just told me that they never rested  much less  worshipped. They lived carefree lives of fun, parties, pleasure and drunkenness. Jesus told us that they were consumed with eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.

Jesus reveals too, that the earliest members of the human race  believed in and practiced male – female marriage and walked on two legs rather than on all fours – Luke 17: 27.

• Lamech lived 777 years while everyone in his time lived to over 800 +.
• Jacob, poor soul, served 7 years for Rachel.
• Jacob bowed  7 times to the ground when he met his brother Esau after years of bitter separation.
• King Pharaoh’s dream about 7 years of famine featured animals and ears of corn in  groups of  7s.

I asked the Father (an aside) why He didn’t reveal the imminent famine to Jacob. The response that Jacob did not have the resources to prepare and would have panicked.

God applied the  ceremonial laws of 7s in the Jewish Tabernacle:

• 7 lamps in the Tabernacle.
• the High Priest wore his garments for 7 days of ministry.
• 7 days of consecration for the priests and the items pertaining to the Altar.
• the priest dipped his finger in the sacrificial blood and sprinkled it 7 times before the vail of the sanctuary.

Laws of 7s related to health

• a woman who delivered a male child was to remain unclean for 7 days.
• 7 days of isolation for skin infections.

Laws of 7s applies to major feasts of the earth, as revealed to the Jews

• In the fourteenth day (7+ 7) of the first month at even is the LORD’S passover – a double rest – Leviticus 23: 5.
• The Feast of Unleavened bread began on on the fifteenth day of the first month – Leviticus 23: 6.
• 7 days for the Feast of Unleavened bread, a rest and fast from leaven and lengthy work of bread making & giving of offerings to the Lord – Exodus 12: 15, 19, Leviticus 23: .
• Count 7 sabbaths from the day after the Passover, then celebrate the Feast of Pentecost on the 50th day with firstfruit offerings to be waved to the Lord – Leviticus 23: 15.  Now we celebrate the Death & Resurrection of the Lord.
• A memorial of blowing of trumpets is to be celebrated on the first day of the 7th Jewish month. It was a sabbath, , and a holy convocation unto the Lord – Leviticus 23: 34 – 40.
• The tenth day of this 7th month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you. This is the time for the church to intercede for the nations
• The fifteenth day of this 7th month shall be the Feast of tabernacles for 7 days unto the LORD – Leviticus 23: 34.
• There was a 7 day celebration with waving of branches and dwelling in booths.  The booths symbolized the Blood washed Body/Tabernacle/House/Temple of Christ gathering in His House to worship and praise Him.

Law of 7s applies to Civil Law

• Celebrate a Sabbath of Rest every 7th year – Leviticus 25: 4.
• There was a Release of debts at the end of every 7 seven years – Deuteronomy 15.
• The Jews were commanded to number 7 sabbaths of Years then to celebrate the Jubilee every 50th year – Leviticus 25: 8.
• The Year of Jubilee was ushered with the trumpet of the Jubilee on the tenth day/day of atonement of the 7th month. This Divine parallel of the Day of Atonement with the ushering of the Year of Jubilee symbolized our freedom in Christ, a shadow of THINGS TO COME.
• 70 years for the land to rest until the return from the captivity – divine punishment for rebellion and failure to enter the natural and spiritual rest of God.

The Law of 7s applied to the entrance of  Messiah

• 70 weeks until the entrance of  Messiah. This was a countdown of years in 70s then seven sevens.

Other application of the Law of 7s

• enemies would flee 7 ways if they attacked the obedient – Deuteronomy 28: 7
• To conquer Jericho, God instructed that the army was to march around the city once a day for six days and 7 times on the 7th day. Seven priests carrying trumpets were to go before the ark and were to blow the trumpets on the 7th day. The army was commanded to shout when the priests made a long blast with the ram’s horn in order to topple the walls – Joshua 6: 4 (man/new season).
• Samson had 7 miraculous locks of hair which were never cut – until Delilah.
• Elijah told Naaman to wash 7 times in the Jordan in order to be healed of leprosy – 2 Kings 5: 10.
• Jesus fed 4000 plus people with 7 loaves and got 7 baskets of bread at the end of the meal – Mark 8: 6 – 8.
• The Book of Revelation is full of 7s.

Next time I will attempt  to show how God divides time into eras using the Law of 7s. However, I wrote previously about the Countdown to the Messiah, which is a classical example of how the Father measures time.We will not be lost and will actually become prophetic people when we understand and apply this Law of 7s. What Is The Dividing (pĕlag/H6387) Of Times In The Holy Scriptures?

Review of the meaning of times in the previous post

The previous post was titled, “What Is The Time, Times And The Dividing Of Time In Daniel 7: 25?” In the post, I explored the meaning of times in the text of Daniel 7: 25 and concluded that it could refer to eras of time.

In contrast, we saw that a parallel,  time, times and half a time (Revelation 12), referred to the 3. 45 years duration of time in which  Jesus and His family remained in Egypt in order to escape Herod’s murder of young children living in Israel.

The core text is Daniel 7: 25 and it refers to the anti – God rebellion of the eleventh horn of the fourth beast:

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time/H5732 and times/H5732 and the dividing of time/H5732 (Daniel 7: 25).

Pĕlag (H6387) is the word used in the text for “and the dividing.”  When we make inferences from the usage of one of the root words, we see  a direct reference to the division of the earth,  division of watercourses and the division of tongues:

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided…^H6385 – Genesis 10: 25 & 1  Chronicles 1: 19.

Who hath divided ^H6385 a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder (Job 38 :25).

Destroy, O Lord, and divide ^H6385 their tongues H3956: for I have seen violence and strife in the city – Psalm 55: 9.

Historical references to the division of the languages of the earth

According to scriptures, the earth was divided in the days of Peleg, hence his name. This referred to the division of languages after the flood. Scriptures teach that all humans spoke one language after the flood. The human race occupied limited areas on the planet and tried to conglomerate and rebel against Almighty God.

The key related events are found in Genesis 10 & 11:

• the rise of Nimrod, son of Cush (H3568), ancestor of the Ethiopians and firstborn son of Ham (H 3568).
• Nimrod was a famous, mighty hunter in the earth – Genesis 10: 8, 9 & 1 Chronicles 1: 10.
• Nimrod founded of the Kingdom of Babel ^H894 aka Babylon, which is modern-day Iraq, some parts of northeastern Syria, southeastern Turkey, and southwestern Iran.
• Led by Nimrod, the population began to build a city and a tower in Babel in order to worship their god and to maintain supremacy. Tower symbolized a place of defense.
• Psalm 55: 9 infers that violence and strife accompanied the founding of the City and Tower of Babel.
• Babel represents a geographic location of  armed conflict, violence, strife, confusion and rebellion against God.

However, God divided the languages (synonym for tongues/H3956: in scriptures), and scattered the people over the face of the earth:

And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded

And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do

And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech

So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth – Genesis 11: 5 – 9.

Other usages of tongues in scripture reveal the depth of the rebellion surrounding the construction of City Babel and Tower Babel

As I reviewed scriptures in which the word tongues was used, I saw the following truths which reveal the depth of the rebellion surrounding the construction of City Babel and Tower Babel. I hasten to add that this will be the scenario in the earth when the Father brings the rule of the fourth beast to an end.

When the cross references are made, we see that one reason for which God ironically divided the languages related to the use of the peoples’ tongues to.

• move their tongues against each other  to bring about strife  – Joshua 10: 21.
• flay each – the scourge of tongues – Job 5: 21.
• hide wickedness and speke deceit  – Job 20: 12; Job 27: 4;
• speak mischief and vanity – Psalm 10: 7.
• backbite against each other – Psalm 15: 3.
• speak against God or set their mouth against the heavens (characteristic behavior of the 11th horn) – Psalm 73: 9.
• speak lies, a word that is repeated many times in this cross reference.

The dividing of watercourses

The dividing of the watercourses (trench of water, conduit and little rivers) is another text in which the word dividing in Daniel 7: 25 is cross referenced:

Who hath divided ^H6385 a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder (Job 38 :25).

A watercourse was divided when King Hezekiah diverted the waters of the River  Gihon from East to West Jerusalem via an underground tunnel called Siloam Tunnel. These waters empty into the Pool of Siloam where Jesus healed a blind man.

We now have the dividing of time, the dividing of tongues and the dividing of the watercourse. 

Prophetically speaking, the fourth beast would rule UNTIL there is an uprising in which God ushers in a new era in which the tongues of its dominant eleventh kingdom are divided.

God will cause the people of the fourth beast to begin to speak the language of His Kingdom as the Water of Life is divided and flows to them from the nations that are drinking of  Christ. The result is healing of their blindness, removal of violence, strife, rebellion and worship of the false god.

What Is The Time, Times And The Dividing Of Time In Daniel 7: 25?

THE TEXT FOR TODAY

We read about the judgment of the four kingdoms of Daniel 7 in the post,  The Ancient Of Days Judges The 4th Beast And Gives The Kingdom To Christ And His Church.”

However, there is an unexplained phrase related to the dominion of the eleventh horn that arose out of the fourth kingdom. The scripture says that this eleventh horn would be given power to change times and laws for  ” a time/H5732 and times/H5732 and the dividing of time/H5732.”

What is the meaning of this prophecy?

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time/H5732 and times/H5732 and the dividing of time/H5732 (Daniel 7: 25).

 

THE MEANING OF TIME IN THE TEXT OF SCRIPTURE

`Iddan (H5732)  is the word used for time in  Daniel 7: 25, and it is used in the scriptures to mean:

a. an instant in time

at what time ^H5732 ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up – Daniel 3: 5.

b. a period of time

The phrase till “seven times ^H5732 pass over…”  him were written in reference to the duration of time that King Nebuchadnezzar would be driven from among men and live like an animal (Daniel 4: 16, 23, 25 & 32).

I saw striking things about these verses:

1. The phrase   till seven times ^H5732 pass over him/thee was repeated four times for emphasis, indicating that we need to pay attention.

2. The number seven represents 7 days of creation. King Nebuchadnezzar was judged for seven  times because he claimed to be the  builder of the Kingdom of Babylon, and because he failed to give glory to God who had given him the power to rule.

3. I also saw a number pattern between the verses in which the phrase seven times ^H5732 pass over occurs. They are 7 – 2 – 7, confirming the duration of the King’s judgment.

Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times ^H5732 pass over him – Daniel 4: 16.

... let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times ^H5732 pass over him – Daniel 4: 23.

That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times ^H5732 shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will – Daniel 4: 25.

And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen,  and seven times ^H5732 shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will – Daniel 4: 32.

As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time ^H5732 – Daniel 7: 12.

The question we need to ask is, “what is the duration of seven times in the judgment of Nebuchadnezzar?”   The answer may or may not help us to answer the meaning of a time in Daniel 7: 25.

UNDERSTANDING THE MEANING OF TIME (H5732)  FROM THE ROOT WORD

Time (`iddan /H5732) comes from a root word which says that “… all our righteousnesses are as filthy ^H5708 rags” (Isaiah 64: 6).  According to the Gesenius’ Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon in blueletterbible.org, the text compares human righteousness to the to the monthly menstruation of a woman, which was considered to be unclean under Moses’ law.  During the childbearing period, women menstruate once per month by divine appointment.

Here are the possible interpretations:

1. Menstruation takes place for a period of time – the childbearing years only, then there is a cessation or the menopause. On average, this lasts about 39 years (12 – 51).

** Time in the text could have a duration in which events occur, then there is a cessation after which this time will not occur in the earth again. This could possibly refer to an ERA.

In a period of 39 years, time would be 10 years, times would be 20 years and half a time would be 5  years.

2. Adolescence marks the time of onset of menstruation. It is a period of discovery and change, a transition to adulthood, independence from parents and sometimes rebellion against authority.

**  The corollary could be that time would begin at a period of discovery, change and transition in the earth. For example, in the 1960s, America went through transition and change.  It was a period of the sexual revolution, the hippie movement, drug use, abolition of prayer in schools, Martin Luther King and the civil rights movement.

Note that the 60s is symbolized by the number 6. It is the day of the birth and period of the rebellion of Adam. I believe that Adam rebelled around age 60, hence the reason why the earth reeled in the 1960s.

3. I will not examine the other interactions between the pituitary gland, ovaries and uterus in the menstrual cycle.

THE ELEVENTH HORN WILL RULE UNTIL A TIME, TIMES AND DIVIDING OF TIMES

When I reexamined  the text of Daniel 7: 25, I saw that the eleventh horn would change the times and laws UNTIL a time/H5732 and times/H5732 and the dividing of time.

I almost missed the word UNTIL.  That fourth world power would rule UNTIL an era or a time of rebellion and change comes that would topple its dominion in the earth.

Prophet Daniel  saw that the fourth beast would rule UNTIL  a new era in which the nations would rebel against the political rulers. We have seen this begin to happen.

 

WHAT IS THE DIVIDING (pĕlag/H6387) OF TIMES?

Pĕlag (H6387) is the word used in the text for “and the dividing.” One of the root words from which pĕlag/H6387  refers to the dividing of the tongues at the Tower of Babel where God judged the earth’s population by introducing many languages:

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided…^H6385 – Genesis 10: 25 & 1  Chronicles 1: 19.

Destroy, O Lord, and divide ^H6385 their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city – Psalm 55: 9.

This is a mystery. If the dividing of tongues refers to God giving many languages as a judgment for rebellion, what does the dividing of times mean?

The Ancient Of Days Judges Islam, The 4th Beast And Gives The Kingdom To Christ And His Church

The key revelation about the 4th beast of Daniel 7

I identified the 4th beast or World Empire of Daniel 7 in the post titled “The 4th Beast Or World Power, Its 11th Horn And The Changing Of Times And Seasons.”  The key revelation of this post is that the 4th beast, while the most terrible of the four, will be judged and entirely destroyed by God.

The vision reveals God sitting in judgment in the Court of Heaven

Prophet Daniel’s vision gave the startling revelation of the judgment of the 4th World Empire by the Heavenly and Eternal God. At the beginning of this episode, the Prophet was shown into the heavens in which he saw two members of the God Family – the Son of Man who is Christ, and the Ancient of Days, the key member of the God Family who Christ referred to as Father during His earthly ministry.

While earthly thrones and kingdoms ruled and terrorized the saints and people of earth, the Ancient of  Days set up thrones of judgment in His ETERNAL in heaven. The end of this and every other judgment preceding it was the casting down of the kingdoms of earth. This calls to mind the words,

“the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever” (Revelation 11: 15).

Prophet  Daniel said that the Ancient of Days had hair like pure wool and wore a garment that was white as snow. Apostle John saw Jesus the replica of the Father in  Revelation 1: 13 – 15, with this revelation teaching us that God is ONE.

When read carefully, the text of Daniel 7 specifically reveals that God came forth to  judge and totally annihilate the 4th Empire in the vision.

This Empire had so aggravated God that it was not permitted to remain even though the other three Empires had been also judged and “had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time” (Daniel 7: 12). Apostle John confirmed this vision in Revelation 13: 2, because the World Empire of the new era was like a leopard, with feet like a bear, and mouth like a lion.

Prophet Daniel saw that God sat in judgment with “thousands upon thousands” and “ten thousand times ten thousand” saints in attendance.  The books of records in heaven were opened because God had kept record of the activities and works of this 4th World Empire, A beautiful parallel is also found in Revelation 20: 11 – 12:

⁸ “While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

⁹ “As I looked,“thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.

¹⁰ A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him.
Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.

¹¹ “Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire.

¹² (The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.)

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works (Revelation 20: 11 – 12).

The vision reveals that ALL power belongs to God and His Christ

Prophet Daniel saw in the vision that All power and authority were given to the Son of Man, who is Christ. He came with the clouds of heaven. In the root, the Hebrew word for clouds is a poetic reference to Christ being enshrouded in clouds to hide His brightness and glory, which humans cannot tolerate. The references show that the Lord would appear to His people in the cloud and speak from inside, with the cloud being evidence of His Presence.

Jesus the Father was prophetically referred to as the Son of Man covered in the clouds because the vision shows Him after His Ministry in the Earth. While in the earth, His heavenly brightness and glory were hid by the clouds or His body of flesh. In the vision, we also see all things being put under His feet and His promotion to Head of His Church.

¹³ “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man,^[a] coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.

¹⁴ He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9: 6).

Christ gives the authority and power into the hands of His church

As Daniel continued in the vision, he saw that the Kingdoms of earth, including the 4th, would rage against the saints and would be permitted for a time to prevail. However, the Ancient of Days pronounced that the Saints had the right to rule in the earth forever and would be given full rule in the fullness of time. One day the earth will no longer be ruled by ungodly men and women and the laws will be those of the Kingdom of God, as Apostle John saw:

The Interpretation of the Dream

¹⁵ “I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me.

¹⁶ I approached one of those standing there and asked him the meaning of all this.

“So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things: ¹⁷ ‘The four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth.

¹⁸ But the holy people of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever—yes, for ever and ever.’

¹⁹ “Then I wanted to know the meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws—the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left.

²⁰ I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

²¹ As I watched, this horn was waging war against the holy people and defeating them,

²² until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.

²³ “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.

²⁴ The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.

²⁵ He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.^[b]

²⁶ “‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever.

²⁷ Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’

Islam – The 4th Beast Or World Power, Its 11th Horn And The Changing Of Times And Seasons

More on the anti – God and destructive character of the 4th beast

We have already spoken about the “mercilessness, destructiveness, harshness and cruelty” of the 4th beast/World Empire or Super Power seen in the vision by Prophet Daniel. The Prophet described the beast as dreadful and terrible. Dreadful in scripture means that this World Power caused other nations to tremble and fear.

The beast devours worldwide – breaking the bones of earth citizens into pieces (Daniel 7: 24). I noted that accused is a synonym for the original word devour (‘akal/h399). This Empire specializes in the accusation of the brethren around the world and every nation on the planet experiences its wrath as it breaks the nations into pieces and stamps or causes them to submit to the sheer force of its power:

 … a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns (Daniel 7: 7).

Then in my vision that night, I saw a fourth beast—terrifying, dreadful, and very strong. It devoured and crushed its victims with huge iron teeth and trampled their remains beneath its feet. It was different from any of the other beasts, and it had ten horns (NLT).

Prophet Daniel emphasized that  the fourth beast will exert a worldwide reign of terror and destruction:

Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour (‘akal/h399) the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces (Daniel 7: 23).

Scriptures reveal the awful behavior of the 11th horn towards God and His saints

Prophet Daniel’s showed us three main characteristics of the 11th horn on the 4th beast/King/kingdom. First,  it was very aggressive although it was smaller than the others. Secondly, it exceeded the others in character, being described by the Prophet as “more stout.”  Thirdly, it was  controlled by demonic powers and finally, it was very aggressive towards God and His saints:

“While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully (Daniel 7: 8).

… whose look was more stout than his fellows (Daniel 7: 20).

Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking… (Daniel 7: 11).

The 11th horn is very vocal in its aggression against the Most High God

Prophet Daniel showed us one characteristic that distinguished the 11th kingdom in this Empire from the others that had preceded it. Energized by hell, this kingdom verbalized its aggression and hatred of God to the point where the Most High was moved to judgement, according to Daniel 7: 11:

… mouth speaking great things (Daniel 7: 8).

I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame (Daniel 7: 11).

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them (Daniel 7: 21)

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time (Daniel 7: 25).

Prophet Daniel said that great words were uttered against the Most High and I am reminded of satan who railed against Archangel Michael with great disrespect (Jude 1). Based on the cross references, I infer that Great words mean that there are:

threats against God’s people – Daniel 2: 5.

lying and corrupt words against God – Daniel 2: 9.

laws and commands to kill God’s people in the most extreme ways – Daniel 3: 22, 28.

The 11th horn shall change times

Changing of times

Prophet Daniel showed us that God will permit the 11th horn, for a season, to exert power and terror in the earth and also to change times and laws (Daniel 7: 25).

We should pay attention to the fact that the Prophet did not qualify the nouns  with the word THE. Collinsdictionary.com (2014), explains that THE can be used with a qualifying word or phrase to indicate a particular person, object, etc, as distinct from others.

Based on this explanation, I therefore conclude that the 11th horn would change times and laws in general and not specific times and laws in specific eras of time.

Zĕman (H2166) is the Aramic word used for times in the text.  Usage shows that this Empire would change times, a reference to calendars, times and seasons appointed by God through the Jewish calendars. It could also be a reference to changing of times that are already established upon the earth:

time  as in time on a clock/a specific point in time/periods of time

Therefore at that time, ^H2166 when all the people heard the sound… – Daniel 3: 7.

Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, ^H2166 and that he would shew the king the interpretation – Daniel 2: 16.

Wherefore at that time ^H2166 certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews – Daniel 3: 8.

he kneeled upon his knees three times ^H2166 a day, and prayed… – Daniel 6: 10.

appointed time (from the root words)

that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time ^H2165 every year – Esther 9: 27.

To confirm these days of Purim in their times ^H2165 appointed, according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them – Esther 9: 31.

seasons

And he changeth the times and the seasons: ^H2166 he removeth kings, and setteth up kings… – Daniel

As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season ^H2166 and time – Daniel 7: 12.

To every thing there is a season… ^H2165 – Ecc 3: 1.

The 11th horn shall change laws

Dath (H1882) is the Aramic word used for the Laws in the text of Daniel 7 : 25. Based on usage, this Empire would change the laws of God and even enact legislation that is diverse from that of other nations with  the aim is to subdue peoples:

the law of the God of heaven (6 references)

… a scribe of the law ^H1882 of the God of heaven… – Ezra 7: 12.

human legislation (7 references)

… the thing is true, according to the law ^H1882 of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not – Daniel 6: 12.

Biblical example of the changing of laws to facilitate an ungodly agenda

I found  a text in the root word which  explains further how this Empire would change laws.  The text is found in the historical events related to the Purim. Bitterly grieved by Mordecai’ s refusal to contradict God’s law and to worship him, villain Haman complained that  Jewish laws were diverse from that of the Empire and contrary to national laws:

And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws ^H1881 are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: ^H1881   – Esther 3: 8.

He plot was to influence the king to enact legislation that would cause nationals of the Empire to murder Jews living in the Empire. This would be the first of its kind in the history of the Jewish peoples, (apart from Pharaoh commanding the murder of newborn baby boys).  However, God used Queen Esther to foil the plot and to enact a new law that the Jews should defend themselves from their enemies, causing fear to fall on the people living in the Empire.

Conclusion

Since the  prophecies related to the 4th beast specifically involve hatred and murder of the saints, I believe that Prophet Daniel saw that this Empire would change laws to such a degree that they would be:

 – diverse from international law.

– anti – God of heaven at the core.

–  merciless against Jews and Christians.

– merciless against peoples in general – Daniel said that this Empire subdued the whole earth.

The 4th Dreadful And Terrible Beast Of Daniel 7

Introduction to the 4th beast of Daniel 7

The fourth beast  of Daniel 7 was so terrible that Prophet Daniel could not possibly describe its shape and structure. However, he saw that it was dreadful, exceedingly terrible and diverse from the other Empires (Daniel 7: 7 & 7: 19). The beast had large iron teeth (Daniel 7: 7) and nails like brass/H5174  (Daniel 7: 19).

The iron teeth symbolized the mercilessness, destructiveness, harshness and cruelty of this beast or Empire. Used in the context of Daniel 7: 19, brass comes from a root word which is also used to mean steel, a “strong, hard metal made of iron and carbon.” (Merriam-Webster, 2014). This is a double whammy in a sense, showing us that this Empire far supersedes the others in cruelty and harshness.

Further exploration of the root of brass, shows that it refers to the use of enchantment/enchantments/divination and enchantments, a clear reference to satanic empowerment.

The fourth beast appeared in a double seven – Daniel 7: 7. Seven symbolizes rest, but there is no rest for the saints, or holy ones, who I interpret to refer to the Jews and believers in Christ.

⁷ “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns (Daniel 7: 7).

What about the horns on the head of the 4th beast?

Prophet Daniel saw that the beast had 10 horns or 10 kings.  The root word of kings as used in this context shows that kings rule over geographic regions and people and we can infer that these 10 horns are also a reference to 10 kingdoms which arose out of this Empire.

And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings (Daniel 7: 24).

However, an eleventh king will arise out of the Empire and destroyed three of the ten. This is the picture of a kingdom divided against itself. It will not stand or last. Astounded, Prophet Daniel saw that this horn was humanized, possessing the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully against God; a possible reference to the demonic influence.

That same horn was more stout or greater than the others and made war with the saints. This horn or kingdom is very aggressive and fearless to Most High God as indicated by the nature of the verbal warfare against God::

 “While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully (Daniel 7: 8).

… whose look was more stout than his fellows (Daniel 7: 20).

Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking… (Daniel 7: 11).

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them (Daniel 7: 21)

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time (Daniel 7: 25)

Let’s Make The Assumption That The Leopard Is The Democratic Republic Of The Congo

Introduction to the assumption that the leopard is the Democratic Republic of the Congo

In a previous article, I asked the question, “Which Nation Could Be The Leopard of Daniel 7: 6?”  I am about to attempt to answer this  question today with an assumption rather than a definite conclusion. My conclusions are based on the premise under which I have been writing to date:

Symbols on flags and their coat of arms are the means by which nations officially  and uniquely identify themselves. This pattern was set by God in the scripture (Nations That Are Represented As Lions).

My search showed that four the following four nations are identified with the leopard:

• Somalia.
• Democratic Republic of the Congo.
• Malawi.
• South Ossata  (Nations Aligned With Symbols Of Leopards).
  

This finding is a far cry from the conclusions made by other writers, some of whom identified Alexander the Great as the leopard.  However, the assumption coincides with my previous argument that the leopard could refer to an African nation (The Leopard Of Daniel 7: 6).

The Democratic Republic of the Congo as the leopard?

1. The Congo is located in west-central Africa.

2. The leopard is the smallest of the cat family which could either speak to the size of the Congo in comparison to the others or to the size of the people. The country was formerly called the Belgian Congo and was inhabited by ancient Negrito peoples or the Pygmies.

3. Was the Democratic Republic of the Congo ever an Empire?

Kongo was the most sophisticated and best known kingdoms of Central Africa, emerging as early as two centuries before the Portuguese arrived  (Gondolo, 2002). Congo kingdom:

• was located south of the Congo River and east of the Kasai river.
• Congolese kingdom was made up of strong political institutions.
• The king was supreme judge and legislator.
• The people attributed political and supernatural powers to the kings.
• The king ruled through well organized administrative systems.
• Kingdoms had a large military force (Gondola, 2002).
• was ruled by a King or Mani Congo from its early history. The Mani Kongo ruled over more than three million subjects by the early 15th century.  The relatively small size of the kingdom corresponds to the small size of the leopard in comparison to other members of the cat family (http://loki.stockton.edu/~kinsellt/projects/hod/history.html).
• Alvaki, King of Congo, was described as being a man of magnificence and pomp. He had a flock of peacocks (Rogers,

Gondola (2002), alluded to the system of rulership as theocratic and wrote that it was  “sometimes referred to as divine kingship,” and that Congolese kingships “provided order, stability and economic prosperity…”

In my mind, this system seems to be an aberration of the Jewish system of kingships under God. Were these people Jewish by origin?

4. Were the people ever cruelly enslaved and had their backs by rulers as represented symbolically by the four wings of a fowl whose claws ploughed the back of the leopard?

Yes, slavery was well institutionalized  by the early 15th century and continued under the rule of Belgium between 1885 – 1960 (http://www.yale.edu/gsp/colonial/belgian_congo/index.html). Under the reign of  Belgium King Leopold 11, the Congo was described as the “devil’s paradise,” mainly because his lust for wealth led to brutality, exploitation and deaths of millions of Congolese people  (Gondolo, 2002).

5. The four heads could represent various entities that ruled over the region at different points in its history:

• Congolese kings.
• Portugal which controlled many areas of the region after the death of King Leopold in 1665. The Portuguese first arrived in 1482. (Gondolo, 2002).
• Belgium.
• nationalists who ruled under circumstances of instability and civil unrest from the time of independence from Belgium on June 30th, 1960.

Is Alexander The Great Represented By The Leopard?

Why I believe that Alexander the Great is NOT the Leopard

Many writers believe that Alexander the Great is the Leopard of Daniel 7: 6. However, this claim is not substantiated by the scriptures neither by history. These are my arguments:

a. Alexander the Great conquered the Persian Empire and began the third  of the known great World Empires of his era

Alexander the Great conquered the great world empire of the Medes and Persians in BC 330.  He was the King of the third of the Great World Empires of the Era:

• Medes and Persians – fulfilled from  549 – 330 BC.
• Greeks – fulfilled from 330 – 63 BC.
• Rome – fulfilled from 63 BC – 476 AD

I believe that the World Kingdoms seen in the Prophets’ vision of Daniel 7 represents another era of time subsequent to the end of the Roman Empire.

b.  God gave King Nebuchadnezzar and Prophet Daniel two separate, but related visions in which the Greek Empire was revealed as the third great World Empire after the Babylonians.

As I recently studied the scriptures, I discovered that King Nebuchadnezzar and Prophet Daniel had two separate visions in which the Greek Empire was revealed as the third great world Empire after that of the Babylonians. This vision was given twice as reinforcement in the scripture. This parallels  the Genesis 41 vision in whihc King Pharaoh dreamt about the seven years of famine twice in the same night because God wanted to reinforce that this was indeed established and would not change. In King Pharoah’s vision,  seven malnourished  cattle ate up seven fat cattle yet remained malnourished. Again the King dreamt that seven malnourished ears of corn ate up seven fat ears of corn yet remained malnourished.

Scriptures reveal an interesting parallel between Daniel 2 and Daniel 8 in which  King Nebuchadnezzar and the Prophet were shown the World Empires which would succeed the Great Babylonian Kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar.  We see God with tongue in cheek showing these Kingdoms to Nebuchadnezzar in the picture of an image, while Prophet Daniel saw the Kingdoms in the form of animals.  We see the great accuracy with which God confirmed His Word through these visions which took place several years apart. King Nebuchadnezzar was given the revelation in the second year of his reign (BC 604), while Prophet Daniel was given his version in 553 BC, the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar of Babylon. This is 51 years after King Nebuchadnezzar’s vision.

There is an amazing  parallel between the two visions which both revealed that the succession of the Great World Kingdoms of the Era:

• Medes and Persians – fulfilled from  549 – 330 BC.
• Greeks – fulfilled from 330 – 63 BC.
• Rome – fulfilled from 63 BC – 476 AD

The scriptures – King Nebuchadnezzar’s vision

Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible

This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass

His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay

Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces

Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth

This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king (Daniel 2: 31 – 36).

…Thou art this head of gold.

And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth

And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise (Daniel 2: 38 – 39)

The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret (Daniel 2: 47).

The parallels between the visions of King Nebuchadnezzar and Prophet Daniel

In order to reinforce the revelation about the succession of the Great World Empires after the Babylonians, God repeated the vision twice – first to King Nebuchadnezzar then to Prophet Daniel:

Nebuchadnezzar’s Vision and Prophet Daniel’s Interpretation

– 1st Great World Empire of the Era = Babylon The image’s head was of fine gold – Daniel 2: 38 Thou art this head of gold – Daniel 2: 38 King Nebuchadnezzar reigned from BC 605

2nd World Empire in Nebuchadnezzar’s vision = Medes and Persians Nebuchadnezzar’s image had a breast and arms of silver Daniel told him, after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee…   (Daniel 2: 39)

2nd World Empire in Daniel’s vision = Medes and Persians    ram with two horns. One of these horns was higher than the other, with the higher emerging last. This ram conquered other beasts or nations.    Archangel Gabriel told Daniel that the ram represented the  kings of Media and Persia (Daniel 8: 7 & 20). Medes and Persians – fulfilled from  549 – 330 BC = 219 years Medes and Persians led by Cyrus aka Darius the Mede conquered the Babylonians

3rd   World Empire in Nebuchadnezzar’s vision = Greeks belly and his thighs of brass And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth (Daniel 2: 39)

3rd World Empire in Daniel’s vision = Greeks – fulfilled from 330 – 63 BC. Founded by Alexander the Great A he goat come from the west. It was swift and had a notable horn between the eyes.  This goat overpowered the ram with great fury – Daniel 8: 7. Archangel Gabriel told Prophet Daniel that the rough goat represented the king of Grecia or Greece, with the great horn  between his eyes referring to the Medes and Persians – Daniel 8: 21.

4th World Kingdom in Nebuchadnezzar’s vision = Roman Empire which was divided into East and West His legs of iron his feet part of iron and part of clay – Daniel 2: 32 & 33   … the kingdom shall be divided…   Division

4th World Empire in Daniel’s vision = Rome Archangel Gabriel prophesied that this Kingdom would oppose Christ, but would be “broken without hand.”  In other words, this kingdom would be destroyed by God  (Daniel 8: 24).    This final kingdom in the vision represented the Romans which replaced the Greeks as a World Superpower.   Rome – fulfilled from 63 BC – 476 AD = 539 years

KINGDOM OF CHRIST = THE STONE And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure – Dan 2: 43 & 44 Jesus was born during the reign of Casear Augustus, the FIRST Roman Emperor (Luke 2: 1).
